(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Quantao and Her Family Harassed

Officers from the Machikou Town 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and local police station in Changping District ransacked and photographed Ms. Liu Quantao's home on September 18, 2014. Ms. Liu was reported for teaching people the Falun Gong exercises.

Ms. Liu's son was ordered to the 610 Office. The police told him on two days that he would be sentenced and taken to a brainwashing center. He was threatened that he would not be released until he had been "transformed" and renounced Falun Gong. Additionally, his unborn son and younger brother would be affected by his refusal to be "transformed."

2. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shushuang Harassed

Officers from the Fengshan Police Department in Fengcheng City told Ms. Liu Shushuang's husband that she had to get a blood test done either at the police department or at her home.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Xilian Detained

Ms. Wang Xilian is being held at the Xincun Brainwashing Center. She was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on a public bus. She was held for 15 days before she was transferred to a brainwashing center.

4. [Xiajin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zuo Liangde's Family Harassed

Mr. Zuo Liangde's home was ransacked by officers from the Xiajin County Domestic Security Division and Leiji Town Police Station on September 22, 2014. The police confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books. The police harassed his family and demanded that they find Mr. Zuo.

5. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Gong Fang Detained

Ms. Gong Fang, 24, works for the shopping channel of the Shenzhen TV Station. She was arrested and taken to the Bantian Police Station on August 30, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was transferred to the Longgang District Detention Center by officers from the Longgang Domestic Security Division and not allowed family visits.

6. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lin Shuyun Detained

Ms. Lin Shuyun, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Yuanlin Police Station in the Tiedong District on the afternoon of August 31, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Anshan City Women's Detention Center.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guimin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guimin was arrested at home on the morning of September 25, 2014.

8. [Changle City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Aiying Arrested

Ms. Liu Aiying, in her 70s, was arrested at her home on the morning of September 25, 2014. Before the arrest, three plainclothes officers claimed they had to inspect the electrical connections in her home. They just looked around and left.

Two other plainclothes officers went to Ms. Liu's home on the morning of September 26. They asked Ms. Liu's husband to sign her detention notice, which he refused to do. She is being held at the Weifang City Detention Center.

9. [Dawa County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Feng Xiumei Sentenced

Ms. Feng Xiumei was sentenced to prison for three and a half years on September 18, 2014. She appealed the sentence, and her daughter, who wanted to defend her at her second trial, submitted the appeal application materials to the Dawa County Court. Judge Sun Qian refused to announce the verdict and said that none of the confiscated items would be returned to her.

10. [Jingtai County, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Put on Trial

Mr. Ma Liyuan, Ms. Hao Guofang, and Ms. Wan Mingfen were tried in the Jingtai County Court on August 28, 2014. Their trials were quickly wrapped up, and the judge told them that they would be sentenced to between three and five years in prison.

Mr. Ma's blood pressure was very high in the Baiyin Detention Center. He was released 20 days before the trial, and his family took him to the county hospital.

Ms. Hao and Ms. Wan were held at the Baiyin Detention Center. They were returned to that center on orders from the Jingtai County Court after the trial.

11. [Lushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hou Li's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Hou Li was arrested at home by officers from the Guangrongjiedao Police Station on the morning of September 24, 2014. His whereabouts is unknown.

12. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Xia Jiayan Arrested

Ms. Xia Jiayan was arrested on September 25, 2014.

13. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Wan Xiaoping Arrested

Ms. Wan Xiaoping was arrested at home by officers from the Dupu Town Police Station on September 19, 2014. The police confiscated four boxes of Minghui Weekly and Falun Gong books.

14. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Practitioner Yeh Arrested

Practitioner Yeh was followed and arrested by plainclothes officers on the evening of September 22, 2014, for posting adhesive stickers with phrases such as "Falun Gong is good." The officers confiscated all of his Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Xia Meirong was arrested and taken to the Erqiaojie Police Station on September 22, 2014, for distributing software used to break the Internet blockade.

Ms. Xiang Changqing and Ms. Cai Fuzhen were arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Gong Yulan was arrested at home.

All four are being held at the Erzhigou Detention Center in Dongxihu District.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hao Yueshan Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Hao Yueshan was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Kaifa District Court in Dalian City on July 11, 2014. She appealed the case to the Dalian Intermediate Court three days later. However, the court upheld the verdict without a re-trial. The court issued the verdict notice directly to Ms. Hao and her defender.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Yanlin Harassed

Mr. Zhang Yanlin did not return home as usual on the evening of September 24, 2014. He was escorted home by officers from the Dalian City Police Department the next evening. The police confiscated his car and many personal items.

18. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced and One Detained

Ms. Fu Xuebing, Ms. Deng Fangying, and Ms. Xie Aiying were arrested at the same time. Ms. Xie is being held at the Meijiang District Qinhuang Detention Center. She is unwell physically and mentally.

Ms. Fu was sentenced to seven years in prison and Ms. Deng to 10 years in the Meijiang District Court around September 19, 2014. Ms. Fu is still in the Meixian District Fuda Detention Center and Ms. Deng is in the Mejiang District Qinhuang Detention Center.

19. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhao Jinying Detained

Ms. Zhao Jinying was arrested during April 2014 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home three days after her arrest. They confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Jiuquan City Detention Center.

20. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Liu Qihong Arrested

Mr. Liu Qihong was arrested on September 24, 2014.

21. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Guo Ping's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Guo Ping was arrested by several plainclothes officers waiting on the morning of September 25, 2014, as she arrived at home. Her whereabouts is unknown.
