(Minghui.org) Ms. Gao Chunxiu weighed 140 pounds when she was admitted to Chengdu No. 2 Detention Center in July 2014. She now weighs less than a 100 and can barely walk. Her family is very concerned about her.

Ms. Gao, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested on July 8, 2014, when Hongguang Township Police Station officers broke into her home in Pi County, Chengdu City. They searched her place without a warrant and then ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, three printers, over 20,000 yuan in cash, and other personal items.
She was taken to Chengdu No. 2 Detention Center without her family being notified. Pi County Procuratorate approved the arrest on August 15, 2015. Ms. Gao is being charged with “using an illegal organization to undermine law enforcement.”
Ms. Gao had already been illegally detained five times since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999. In 2002, she was sent to a brainwashing center, where she suffered gastric erosion. She was only released when her condition became critical and authorities did not want to take responsibility for her death. Ms. Gao regained her health by practicing Falun Gong.
Before Ms. Gao took up the practice in 1998, she suffered from pleurisy and rheumatoid arthritis. She credits Falun Gong for her recovery from these ailments.
