(Minghui.org) Yuanbaoshan Town police officers arrested Ms. Bai Yumei and Ms. Bai Shengzhen last month. The two practitioners are still being held in the Chifeng Brainwashing Center.
Eight people in three vehicles went to Ms. Bai Shenzhen's home on the afternoon of September 11, 2014. Claiming to be Yuanbaoshan Town officials, they broke into her home and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and pictures of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. They even ripped off window decorations.
When Ms. Bai Shenzhen's son asked them why they were taking his mother away, he was told it was because she practices Falun Gong. When he tried to stop them, one of them grabbed him by the neck and threatened that they would take him away, too. Other villagers stepped in and he wasn't arrested.
Ms. Bai Yumei is Ms. Bai Shenzhen's neighbor. She was also arrested that day.
The next day their families went to request their release. The person who was in charge of watching the practitioners told the families that only the “government” made such decisions. The two women are still being held in the brainwashing center.
Prior Arrests
The two practitioners have been repeatedly arrested since 1999.
When several practitioners from Jiangchangying Village in Yuanbaoshan were taken to the Pingzhuang Detention Center at the end of 1999, Ms. Bai Shengzhen, Ms. Bai Yumei, Ms. Bai Yuru, Mr. Jiang Yongjun, Ms. Liu Guohua, and Ms. Zhang Guiping went to the detention center to support those who had been detained.
About 30 officers and personnel from the Malin Police Station and the Malin Town Government beat and then arrested them.
They handcuffed Ms. Bai Shengzhen. Then Bao Tingfu and about 10 others surrounded and kicked her back and forth. She was covered in bruises.

They slapped the practitioners' faces until they were red and swollen. A man who had been arrested because for being drunk and making trouble was terrified and wept when he saw how the police tortured the practitioners. Ms. Bai Yuru and Ms. Bai Yumei so swollen, they couldn't move for several days.
Ms. Bai Shengzhen, Ms. Liu Guohu, Ms. Zheng Guiping, and Ms. Ma Guifen were arrested again in the spring of 2000 for posting Falun Gong flyers. Xu Zizhang and others beat them. They slapped Ms. Ma in the face with their shoes. They burned Ms. Liu's nose with cigarettes butts. Ms. Bai's ribs were broken. Guards in the detention center forced them to kneel down and to run on a snow-covered field in their bare feet. A month later, they were transferred to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.
The police ransacked the homes of Ms. Bai Yumei and a dozen other practitioners in the spring of 2001. The practitioners were tortured for a confession.
