(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from over 30 European countries gathered in front of the Chinese embassy in Madrid to raise awareness about atrocities taking place in China, in particular the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
The Council of Europe adopted a new international convention in July 2014 to make trafficking of human organs for transplant a criminal offense.

Businessman Paolo Gil: I'm against the persecution of Falun Gong
Practitioners ran a signature drive for the 2014 DAFOH (Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting) petition, calling on the United Nations to investigate the Chinese regime's forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience. The new signature drive builds on the momentum of the successful 2013 campaign, which resulted in 1.5 million signatures globally. The petition continues to urge the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to call upon China to end the crimes against humanity and initiate further investigations.
Law student Glokia Maria Nduka Borico passed by the signature drive and learned about the situation in China. She said after she signed the petition, “I didn't know such evil existed. I only knew that China developed very fast, but wasn't aware that Chinese people are suffering such horrible atrocities. It's very important that more people know about the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Everyone should sign this petition, to end the persecution with the power of public opinion. I support you.”
Ms. Maria Cenbilos commented, “Such a persecution happens in the 21st century today!? It challenges the morality of mankind. The persecution must be ended.”
Software engineer Carlos Lobo mentioned that there was very little mention of these atrocities in the mainstream media. Practitioners told him that it was because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) exerts indirect censorship on media agencies.
Upon learning about the persecution in China, Mr. Lobo wished the practitioners success and signed the petition.
