In our school system this year, there was a so-called "cleaning-up," which meant people who had a position but were not actively teaching would need to be assigned a class or have their teaching credentials canceled. After school was in session for almost one month, two teachers returned to our school. However, there was no work for them. They were likely to be laid off. I heard that one of them taught in my field and thought: “If the principal came to me, I could give up my class and go back to teach my old class. As a practitioner, I would say yes right away.”
As I came back to the classroom, I thought, “If I don't teach this class anymore, then I won't be able to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to them.” So that very day, I moved to the topic of Falun Dafa at an appropriate time in my class. I wrote the three words Truth-Compassion-Forbearance on the board in Chinese and English.
Surprisingly, the students became excited. They were all interested in these three words. Some commented: Teacher's handwriting is great! When a student suggested writing the words down, almost everyone took his suggestion and wrote the three words in both English and Chinese.
One student asked, "What's the meaning behind the three words?" So I responded, “Truth is to tell the truth, do things truthfully, and be a true person; Compassion is to be kind to others and not to bully others; Forbearance is to endure in the face of of conflicts, and think of others. This is what I understand as the surface meaning.” They all seemed to get it.
I continued, “I probably will not teach you guys any more.” I told the reason why. They felt very disappointed and didn't want to let me go. They wanted to have the new teacher take another class, because they really liked me. I said, “I am a Falun Gong practitioner, and I need to follow the arrangements of the school.”
As soon as they heard that I practiced Falun Gong, they became very active. Some repeated lies from the evil CCP, some wanted to learn Falun Gong, and some wanted more information. I asked the students, “If I hadn't said I practiced Falun Gong, would you think of me as someone who killed other people the way Falun Gong practitioners are described on TV? ” They said unanimously, “No!”
“When people say that Falun Gong is bad, talk about the staged 'self-immolation' incident, and blame killings on Falun Gong practitioners, they are lying. They are afraid of people practicing Falun Gong, because if more people pursue kindness, they may outnumber the members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). So they frame and defame Falun Gong. Meanwhile, Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries around the world. It helps people greatly in healing illnesses and keeping fit. For students like you, if you practice Falun Gong, you'll gain a healthy body, more energy and find it easier to study.”
Right away, there were students asking if I could teach them the exercises, and more about Falun Dafa.
I said, “Now it's the time for our class. Let's finish our class first. We'll wait until next period, then whatever you want to ask, I'll talk about it. Now everyone please remember, "Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful! Whenever a personal misfortune comes, or if you are not ready for an exam, or if you are not feeling well; then, before you go to bed, please recite, 'Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!'"
I asked them, "Have you joined the Communist Youth League?" They all said, "Yes." I continued, "The trend now is for people to withdraw their memberships from the CCP and its affiliates like the Youth League. You should quit it from your hearts. Since the CCP has been in power, it has started many political movements, such as the Cultural Revolution, the June 4 Tiananmen Massacre, and the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. As a result, it has killed many good people. Since The CCP's bad deeds are many, I certainly believe that heaven will eliminate it. Only by withdrawing from its memberships, can you ensure your safety."
Some of the students got it, some didn't right away. I then explained to them a bit more, “When we wear the red scarves, we say that the red color represents martyrs' blood. But aren't those martyrs the same as ghosts? When we are wearing a piece of cloth with its color representing the blood of ghosts, doesn't it contain the vibration of a dead person? Won't it bring bad luck?” Hearing what I said, they kept nodding their heads to show their agreements. I then said, “Everyone, please quit from the bottom of your heart. 'When an individual does something, heaven is watching. Heaven is watching what one does.'” They all showed agreement.
“Does anyone not want to proceed with the withdrawal?” No one said no. So the entire class received the truth and made the best choice for themselves.
During class, there was a hornet flying around, which made students nervous. I opened a window and tried to drive it out with a mop, but it was in vain. Many students in the class began to recite: “Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” The hornet, which had been heading to the middle of the classroom, suddenly turned around and flew out the window. All the students witnessed the miraculousness of Falun Dafa.
When we were about to finish the class, students asked me to explain the staged “self-immolation” incident. I said that one reason why people can tell it was staged is because even though the skin on Wang Jindong's legs was burnt, the plastic bottle sitting between his legs didn't melt and become deformed. Another person in the video, Liu Chunling, was determined to have died from being hit by a hard object as opposed to being burned to death. There were other suspicious points such as the fact that police officers guarding the square had fire extinguishers. How often do police carry fire extinguishers during normal duty? What I said really impressed them. Even after the class finished, they were still reciting, “Falun Dafa is wonderful!”
