Stories Behind the People Who Are Quitting the CCP

Nov. 22, 2014 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Heilongjiang Province, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners who help people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations have noticed there seems to be a story behind each person who has renounced his or her membership. Some of these stories are very touching. With my help, approximately 4000 people have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations since 2007. Below are three stories I'd like to share.

Ten People at a Dining Table Quit the CCP

With righteous thoughts and help from Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, I was successful in persuading several people to quit the CCP at the same time, even though I had never faced 10 people all at the same time when clarifying the facts.

I went to a wedding celebration at a restaurant a few days ago. A person who knew the truth about Falun Gong greeted me and asked me to join them.

At that person's invitation, I started to tell them about Falun Gong, including what it is, what principles we follow, how we become healthy, and how we consider others first.

I then talked about the staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square and the corruption of CCP officials. All of them listened attentively. In the end, everyone at the table agreed to quit the CCP.

“It's So Dark--Can I Walk You Home?”

I was on my way home by taxi one night, sharing the ride with a young man who sat beside me. He had a string of prayer beads on his wrist. I asked him, “Do you believe in Buddhism?” When he said he did, I continued, “I believe in Buddha as well. Your belief in Buddhism is good, but the CCP has been promoting atheism, and many people don't believe that what goes around comes around, and they dare to do anything.”

The young man agreed, but I didn't get a chance to talk about Falun Gong before we arrived at his destination. I decided to get out of the taxi with him so that we could continue our conversation. I told him about Falun Gong and the persecution, and he agreed to quit the CCP.

When I was about to head home, he asked, “It's so dark. Can I walk you home?”

“No worries,” I replied. “I can take a taxi.”

I had actually lost my job recently and won't take a taxi unless it is absolutely necessary. So I walked home by myself through the dark and quiet streets.

Elderly Woman Quits the CCP on the Bus

I was on a bus once with an elderly lady sitting beside me. She was sensitive to the wind and thanked me after I helped her close the window. I asked, “Have you heard that Falun Gong is a cultivation practice in the Buddha School and that quitting the CCP will avoid disasters?” She interrupted me and said loudly, “I want to know why Falun Gong people print words on currency. It's illegal.”

Due to her loud voice, other people looked at me. I realized that it was due to my attachment of fear and was a good opportunity to let others know about the persecution. I said loudly, “The self-immolation was staged by the CCP to stir up hatred towards Falun Gong. The teachings do not permit practitioners to kill or commit suicide. Organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners has been exposed around the world, and many doctors having stepped forward to confirm the fact that it is taking place.

“You know the CCP is corrupt. Do you think the future of the CCP and its supporters will be good? Your future will depend on what you choose. 180 million people have renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I can help you to quit, too.” The old lady agreed by nodding her head.

I added, “Printing words on paper currency is a way for practitioners to deliver positive messages. The CCP deprives practitioners of the right to free speech, but people should be aware of the persecution of Falun Gong and organ harvesting.” She nodded and said “Yes, they should.”
