(Minghui.org) As Fa-rectification period Dafa practitioners, our mission is to assist Master in saving sentient beings. We do not need to endure or tolerate any type of persecution.
Hearing that our fellow practitioners were being illegally sentenced, detained in a brainwashing center, or being tortured in prison, I felt bitter and sad. I understand that practitioners must deny such persecution with righteous thoughts and disintegrate the old forces controlling the brutality that happens there.
I would like to share our experience in cooperating as one body, exposing the persecution, and eventually getting the brainwashing center shut down.
The Brainwashing Center
The authorities in our area set up a brainwashing center in 2009 and have used a variety of methods to torture practitioners there. Our practitioners worked together to expose the persecution to the locals. With four years of none-stop efforts, we finally managed to get the brainwashing center shut down in the fall of 2013.
A female practitioner who had been persecuted in a drug rehabilitation center for a year and was to be released was the first to be transferred to the brainwashing center.
Master said:
“Exposing the wicked policemen and bad persons and publicizing their evil deeds is extremely effective at shocking and restraining those irrational, wicked people. At the same time, by clarifying the facts to the people on a local level it most directly exposes, and generates public awareness of, the wicked persecution. It is also a great way to save the people who have been poisoned and deceived by the lies. Securing Information to Publicize the Persecution
After studying the Fa, we realized that we should first expose the persecution. However, we were not aware of what was happening inside the brainwashing center and did not have a list of the police or guards. We decided to send forth righteous thoughts as a group at specific times. The results were not as good as we had hoped for.
The female practitioner was released after 40 days and we finally had the chance to get inside information about what was happening inside. She had been deprived of sleep, slapped in the face, forced to stand for long periods of time, had her hands cuffed behind her back, and was forced to watch videos slandering Falun Dafa.
Then, two more practitioners were arrested and taken to the brainwashing center. Both were tortured worse than the other practitioner. The guards stripped the male practitioner and shocked him with electric batons. The female practitioner was beaten by an officer who sat on top of her. She was also shocked with electric batons.
We were told that several practitioners from another town were also taken to the brainwashing center and were tortured.
Cooperating as One Body
We gathered more information about the illegal activities taking place in the brainwashing center and compiled a list of those involved. We printed all the information on flyers and distributed them ub the area.
No practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center after that for quite some time. We were pleased and thought that the center had shut down.
However, two practitioners, who had served ten-year prison terms, were arrested and taken there. We realized that we needed to continue to expose the persecution, so we made more posters and flyers. This time we included the center's location, a list of of the perpetrators, and the torture methods used. To get the information out covertly, we used paper currency with messages printed on it to inform the public about the persecution of Falun Gong.
We heard that a friend of the person in charge of the brainwashing center saw the center official's written on currency and notified him. After that, the official was much less active in carrying out the persecution.
Harassment Continues
The brainwashing center was closed for some time. However, the police continued to harass practitioners, especially those who had been detained there. One day, officers went to a practitioner’s home and tape reordered their conversation. They demanded to know if the practitioner had published what had happened on the Minghui website.
Several practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center during the summer of 2014. The head of the brainwashing center shouted at them, “Putting my name on paper currency doesn't scare me!” He even beat relatives who visited the detained practitioners.
Finding Ways to Expose the Persecution
After discussing it several times, we came to the conclusion that this brainwashing center shouldn't even exist. Because practitioners and their family members were being persecuted there, it had to be shut down as soon as possible. We cooperated as one body, holding that one thought in our minds – "Disintegrate the center." We cooperated well. Some practitioners studied the law, noted the illegal activities taking place at the center, and documented the violations of existing Chinese law. We warned the police and guards to stop committing these crimes against practitioners.
We let the public know about their misconduct. Some practitioners sent text messages that included the information we had collected and called the head of the brainwashing center and the police. We also notified the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong and asked them to send voice messages to the head of the brainwashing center.
Some practitioners monitored activities at the brainwashing center from a building across the road. They took photos, especially of the head of the brainwashing center, and put phone numbers, home addresses, and details of the family members of the center employees on posters and flyers.
We posted the information everywhere, especially in the areas where these people lived. When the posters were taken down, we put them up again, so that people could learn the truth.
According to practitioners detained in the center, the perpetrators were afraid of being photographed. Finally, all the detained practitioners were released. As Master said:
“The Fa power of their righteous thoughtspounds the demons’ dens”(“Besiege and Annihilate” in Hong Yin Vol. II)
As long as we act in accordance with Master's request “...one righteous mind can subdue one hundred evils.” (Lecture Three in Zhuan Falun) We have the power to deny and destroy any of the old forces' arrangements. Therefore, the brainwashing center should not exist.
Although the police told us, “We will be back to start the center again,” we were not moved. We thought that the brainwashing center should not exist and that it must be completely disintegrated, because Master doesn’t recognize it.
