(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Mi Xiuying Sentenced

Ms. Mi Xiuying was arrested by officers from the Xuanhua District Tielunan Police Station on May 28, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was later transferred to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.

The Xuanhua District Procuratorate approved her arrest on July 4, 2014. The Xuanhua District Court tried her at the detention center on December 10, 2014, and illegally sentenced her to seven years and six months in prison.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Zicheng and Ms. Zhang Aiping Sentenced

Mr. Wang Zicheng was tried on June 26, 2014 at the Pinggu District Court even though he was paralyzed due to the tortures at the detention center. He was handcuffed and shackled during the trial.

Mr. Wang and his wife Ms. Zhang Aiping were illegally sentenced on August 19, 2014, in the Pinggu Detention Center. Mr. Wang was sentenced to five years and six months of imprisonment, and his wife to fours year and six months. Their family members were not informed of their sentencing.

Both husband and wife were transferred to a prison on November 25, 2014, but the prison officials refused to accept them. The detention center guards forcibly took them to the prison again on December 1, 2014.

3. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhu Jianling Arrested and Mr. Zhu Hefei Harassed

Ms. Zhu Jianling was arrested by officers from the Nanjing Railway Station in June 2014. Her home was later monitored by officers from the 610 Office. Mr. Zhu Hefei has also been reported of being monitored at home.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yanxia Forced to Leave Home; Family Harassed

Ms. Wang Yanxia, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Bangjun Police Station in Ji County in April 2014, but later escaped. She was forced to leave home for more than eight months to avoid further arrests and persecution. During that time, the police often harassed and threatened her family.

The police recently threatened that Ms. Wang will not be safe if her family doesn't pay 5,000 yuan and Ms. Wang doesn't write a guarantee statement to quit practicing Falun Gong.

5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhu Huomei Arrested

Ms. Zhu Huomei, in her 70s, was arrested at home and taken to the Shishan Police Station on the afternoon of December 2, 2014. Her arm was injured during the arrest.

The police took turns interrogating her at the police station. She was held until midnight. The police ransacked and videotaped her home in the evening and confiscated a computer.

Mr. Bai Yufu was arrested on December 2, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, He is being held at the Tieling City Detention Center.

7. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xia Yuping Arrested

Ms. Xia Yuping was arrested at home on November 5, 2014. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution, and a printer.

8. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officer Yang Zihua and others from the Miyi County Domestic Security Division arrested three practitioners on December 11, 2014.

Ms. Liu Tianmei was arrested at home, and her home was ransacked. She was subjected to corporal punishment before she was released at around 9:00 p.m.

Ms. Peng Guangqin was also arrested at home and taken to the Miyi County Detention Center at around 11:00 a.m. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and Minghui Weekly.

Mr. Zhang Zhengchao was arrested in the afternoon. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a laptop computer, and a cell phone.

9. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Houwei Yu Arrested

Ms. Houwei Yu, 67, was arrested at home by officers from Haicheng City on December 9, 2014.

10. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Jiaxiang Arrested

Mr. Li Jiaxiang, in his 60s, was arrested at home by a dozen officers from the Chongzhou City 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and the Chengxi Police Station on December 10, 2014. His wife; sons, Li Lei and Li Tao; and daughter-in-law Yu Hongyan were also arrested. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a dozen Falun Gong books, paper bills with Falun Gong information written on them, and two computers.

Mr. Li's wife and daughter-in-law were released the next day. Mr. Li and his two sons are being held at the Chongzhou City Detention Center.

Mr. Yu Wanfu, whose wife practices Falun Gong, was also arrested at home on the same day. The police ransacked his home and confiscated 1,000 yuan , Falun Gong books, informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong, and an MP3 player. He is being held at the Chongzhou City Detention Center.

11. [Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Yan Facing Trial Again

Ms. Jiang Yan was arrested and taken to the Huzhou City Detention Center on July 18, 2014. She was shackled for a month and deprived of showering for three months. She was secretly put on trial in November 2014. The court recently announced that she would be tried again on December 24, 2014.

12. [Fuping County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Hou Huaning and Ms. Lin Zhengzheng Sentenced

Ms. Hou Huaning and Ms. Lin Zhengzheng were sentenced to a three-year prison term by Fuping County Court in August 2014. They were recently transferred to the Shaanxi Province Women's Prison.

13. [Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Yuying Detained

Ms. Wang Yuying was arrested by officers from the Xiqiao Police Station on December 10, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police later ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, calendars that contains information about the persecution, DVDs, and informational periodicals. She is being held in Jinshan Town, Kelaqinqi.

14. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yin Kaikui Arrested

Mr. Yin Kaikui was arrested by officers from the Sitou Town Police Station on December 11, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Domestic Security Division of the police department the next day.

Ms. Liu Li and Ms. Wang Xixia were arrested in Ganyu County for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were tried twice before being sentenced to a three-year-and-six-month prison term in December 2014.

Ms. Kong Qingfang, in her 50s, was arrested at her real estate office on the morning of December 9, 2014. She is being held at the Zhenjiang City Detention Center.

Mr. Lu Xiujun, 44, was arrested on the evening of November 14, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Jurong City Detention Center.
