(Minghui.org) I was recently arrested and taken to the police station, along with four other Falun Dafa practitioners. We were released 11 hours later, with Master's protection, the strong righteous thoughts and actions of the entire group of practitioners, and the coordinated efforts with family members. I would like to share our story.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) illegally arrested my wife and I, searched our home and confiscated property, including all of our truth-clarification materials, without following any legal procedures.
I shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” and they looked visibly frightened. My wife was quick to think on her feet, and asked our neighbors to notify our families.
I steadied my thinking, faced with the prospect of being persecuted.
I thought of Master's words,
“... just by having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations.” (“Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
I thought of Master's poem, “Righteous Thoughts,” when we arrived at the police station:
“They surge like thunderbolts to cosmic heightsRoaring with colossal power, they reach beyond the heavensThey sweep across the cosmos, no crevice left untouchedEliminating at once all that’s degenerate and deviant”(“Righteous Thoughts”, February 13, 2014)
“I Only Listen to Master, and I Won't Cooperate with the Police.”
I enlightened that this was a good opportunity to eliminate evil beings since I was in an evil place. I didn't have any distracting thoughts and felt surges of powerful energy.
The police officers wanted me to sit in the interrogation seat and record my confession, but I refused and instead sat on the side. I didn't cooperate or answer any of their questions, and sent forth strong righteous thoughts. I completely negated any excuse that the old forces might use to persecute me.
I unequivocally said, “I only listen to Master, and I won't cooperate with the police.” The police officer asked why I wouldn't cooperate with them. I said, “You arrested me in order to persecute me. Would I cooperate with you to persecute myself? You want me to slander Dafa and betray my Master. Isn't that absurd?” He laughed when I said this.
I utilized every opportunity to tell the officers about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I talked to them about: the persecution that I had suffered from; that millions of practitioners have been persecuted and died; that organs have been harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners, which was an unprecedented crime on this planet; the ancient rock that was uncovered in Guizhou Province engraved with the characters- “Heaven will destroy the Chinese Communist Party”; and Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries.
The practitioners that were arrested with me sent powerful righteous thoughts and clarified the truth whenever possible.
Support from Other Practitioners
Moreover, all practitioners in the area were immediately notified, and they sent strong righteous thoughts. They added the thought that the practitioners who were arrested must be released today.
Coordinating with Practitioners' Families
Family members immediately went to the police station and demanded our release as soon as they heard what had happened. They asked the director of the Domestic Security Division, who was directly responsible for persecuting practitioners, “Why have you arrested our family members? Have you followed legal procedures? Do you have irrefutable evidence?” His answers lacked confidence and he seemed to know that the arrest was illegal.
The family members admonished the director, “You had no grounds to arrest our family members and search our homes. Whoever violates the law will have to pay for it. Don't let yourself be used by the CCP. Think of your future and stop persecuting Falun Dafa. Release all practitioners who are being detained.”
The families firmly said, “You must release the practitioners that you arrested today. You have no other choice.” The director wasn't as brazen as he had been before. They felt that he was being restrained by practitioners' righteous thoughts. He said that he would handle it right away.
Two Points to Keep in Mind When Practitioners Are Arrested
1. It is important to maintain strong righteous thoughts at all times. Do not cooperate with any of the demands or orders from police officers. Don't leave any hole for the evil to take advantage. Monitor every thought that you have and make sure it is righteous and in line with the Fa. Evil will be eliminated when the attachment to life and death is eliminated.
2. It is important to mobilize local practitioners to send forth strong righteous thoughts and coordinate closely with family members in such situations. Family members should immediately go to where practitioners are being held and demand their immediate release. The evil can't be given any breathing room, because as soon as they finish their “so-called” investigation, they will start to persecute practitioners. A golden opportunity to eliminate the evil will be lost once practitioners have been transferred to brainwashing centers or other locations.
Families must be rational and clearheaded at all times when they demand the release of their family members. They must clearly communicate that persecuting practitioners, searching and confiscating property, are illegal. Families must stick to the law and evidence at hand in their conversations, and must be rational even when faced with treacherous methods utilized by the police. Positive results can often be achieved this way.
Four Legal Requirements Necessary When Searching Homes
A practitioner previously shared that in order to search a home, there are four requirements that must be met, and that even missing one of them is illegal. In very few cases are these procedures followed when arresting Falun Dafa practitioners and searching their homes.
1. An original copy of a search warrant, with the signature of the captain of the police department, is required. A photocopy is unacceptable.
2. Family members or relatives must be present.
3. The neighborhood committee or the village committee must give evidence.
4. A detailed list of confiscated property, the officers who confiscated the property, and signatures of kin who were present as witnesses, needs to be recorded.
Practitioners please compassionately point out any limitations in my understanding and what is not in accordance with the Fa.
