(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Hua, 52, from Xinbin County, Liaoning Province, has been illegally detained in the Nan'gou Detention Center in Fushun City for over 40 days. Her crime? Distributing calendars with information about Falun Dafa.
Zhao Lianke from the Xinbin County Domestic Security and Wang Yu from the Pingdingshan Town Police Station took Ms. Wang to her court date on January 16, 2014.
Ms. Wang's father, who is in his 70s, went to the Xinbin County Police Department to demand her release. Wang Zhongfa, chief of the police department, told her father that she'd be home for Chinese New Year. However, it is now well past Chinese New Year and her father and the rest of the family still have not seen Wang Hua.
Ms. Wang and three other practitioners went to Pingdingshan Town to give out free New Year's calendars to the local residents on December 19, 2013. On their way home, the police arrested them and took them to the Pingdingshan Police Station. The police at Pingdingshan Town informed the police at the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division of their arrest.
At 4:30 p.m. the same day, Wang Yu – Pingdingshan Town Police Station chief, along with officers from the Pingdingshan Police Station, as well as two officers from the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division and another officer from the Weziyu Town Police Station, went to the practitioners' homes in Weiziyu Town to perform an illegal search. The police confiscated 5,285 yuan in cash, a laptop computer, a printer, three cell phones, and Falun Dafa books and DVDs from Ms. Yang's house. Before the search, the police tried to force Ms. Wang's daughter-in-law to sign a search warrant but she refused.
Wang Yu and three officers from the Pingdingshan Police Station broke into Ms. Wang's home again on December 21, 2013 and forced her daughter-in-law to sign the search warrant. They brought Ms. Wang's clothes back but the jewelry that she was wearing on the 19th is still missing.
