(Minghui.org) I'm a veteran Falun Gong practitioner, having started the practice in 1999. Throughout my cultivation, I have felt that Master always protected me when I faced tribulations. I want to share with fellow practitioners abut one occasion when I overcame adversity with the help of Master, and helped turn the hearts of police and inmates towards goodness and to an understanding of Falun Gong.
Towards the end of 2013, a fellow practitioner and I distributed calendars with truth-clarifying content and gave one to a woman. She reported us to the police by calling 110, the police hotline in China.
We were arrested and taken to the police station. Additionally, my home was ransacked the same day.
When interrogated, I refused to answer any question. Two policemen pushed me down and threatened to draw my blood.
I held in my mind the thought that I came here to ensure that these policemen no longer committed crimes against Falun Gong practitioners.
I said, “You are not doctors. How can you draw my blood? Do you plan to harvest my organs?”
At the same time, I begged Master for wisdom and strength. I thought, “I am Master's disciple. No one is qualified to test me. I won't allow the old forces to use the police to commit sins against Falun Gong.”
Reacting to Police Interrogation
First, the police put me on an iron chair and shackled my feet before heading out to lunch. I thought that they were afraid that I would escape so I told them that I would not leave because we were predestined to meet and I was there to save them.
Master said:
“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.”(“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful” from Essential for Further Advancement II)
While the police officers were at lunch, I continuously sent forth righteous thoughts. On their return, they asked if the calendars they had confiscated were mine.
I didn't respond to their question, but said, “Please read the messages on the calendar. Falun Gong teaches people to be good and to do good deeds. It helps people to return to good health. Many cancer patients returned to good health after they practiced Falun Gong. Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries and more than 100 million people from different walks of life are practicing Falun Gong.”
Then, a policeman said, “People can practice Falun Gong in public outside of China. You should go abroad and practice it there.”
I responded indirectly, “Your are kind. We are predestined to meet here. You should read this calendar's message and think about it.”
I then told the officers that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation was staged by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the participants were murdered later on.
Another policeman asked, “Where are these truth-clarifying bills [money with Falun Gong message written on them] from? They are in sequential number.”
“It is my Fa instrument to save people. Don't touch my money,” I said.
I continued my efforts to stop the police from harming practitioners. I told them that they would benefit if they were kind to practitioners. I spoke about returning to good health and the good deeds I performed as a practitioner.
I said to them, “For example, I returned the cell phone I found to the owner and returned the extra money my boss put by mistake in my pay envelope. No ordinary person acts like that. But, regardless of how we are treated, practitioners do not hit back when beaten nor do we swear back when sworn at.”
I appealed to the police officers' conscience and said , “If everyone would do good deeds, the police wouldn't have to make any arrests.”
Then I said, “Jiang Zemin and Zhou Yongkang have been convicted in foreign countries for their crimes of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. When justice is served, they and their accomplices will be punished for their sins. ”
I also told them that it is also important not to be associated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its two affiliated organizations, the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers, when the CCP regime loses its power in China. I urged them to quit these entities in order to ensure a good future for themselves by not being implicated when the CCP is brought to justice.
I said, “More than 150 million people have already quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Why don't you do it too? It won't cost you anything.”
The police officer was shocked and walked away, but returned shortly after. Then, I heard two policemen shouting in the hall, “Falun Gong is good!”
An elderly policeman told them, “I have to leave. She already transformed me.”
Another policeman asked me to show him the Falun Gong exercises. They all gave the thumbs up and one explained, “It is really good.”
Changing the Heart of Inmates
We were taken to a detention center in the evening. The Deputy Chief of the center said, after he had heard of my efforts to change the police officers' hearts, “Perfect. Tell them to transform the female thieves.”
I enlightened to the understanding that Master wanted us to save the people there. We decided to talk about Falun Gong to everyone we came across.
A few days later, the Deputy Chief asked us about the progress of transforming the inmates. I replied, “They all were transformed. They will follow the principles of Falun Gong, which are Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, to become good persons. The police will no longer have to be so busy arresting people.” The Deputy Chief walked away smiling.
Fellow practitioner and I encouraged each other in the detention center. We recited the Fa, practiced the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts. We wanted to destroy any evil that might interfere with people's understanding of Dafa. We also looked inward at all times to find our shortcomings and attachments and asked Master to strengthen us.
During our detention, local fellow practitioners posted news of our arrest on the Minghui website. They also listed the telephone numbers of those responsible parties in the 610 Office. They sent righteous thoughts together to disintegrate the evil elements controlling those who sought to persecute us. We were released within a few days of the information being posted on Minghui.
