(Minghui.org) The Baicheng Intermediate People's Court in Heilongjiang Province dismissed Ms. Qi Fengmin's appeal without a hearing, and transferred her to the Changchun Women's Prison on January 20, 2014.

Ms. Qi was illegally arrested on April 9, 2013, ten months after her release from serving five years in prison, for giving away Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. She was sentenced on September 30, 2013 to another five years in prison. Ms. Qi immediately appealed the verdict.

When Ms. Qi's family called Judge Ge Shengnan on January 8, 2014, to request her release, they were told that the court was upholding the five-year prison term.

Ms. Qi's daughter visited her at the Tongyu Detention Center on January 14, 2014. They were separated by a glass window. Ms. Qi was tied to a metal chair, her face was pale, and she appeared to have lost significant weight.
