(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhao Fuxia was arrested around 3 p.m. on February 10, 2014 when she was buying a train ticket at the Lindong Town train station to visit her older sister Ms. Zhao Guirong. Ms. Zhao Guirong is being held at the Hohhot First Women's Prison. Why was Ms. Zhao Fuxia arrested?
Ms. Zhao Fuxia used bills with words printed on them that tell people about the persecution of Falun Dafa (Falun Gong). The Chinese Communist regime suppresses the practice of Falun Dafa and has launched a brutal persecution of the practice. The regime controls all of the Chinese media and tries to control the minds of the Chinese people. Because of the severe information blockade in China, there are few ways to inform people about the truth of Falun Dafa, so Dafa practitioners often write simple messages on paper currency. Practitioners find this a very effective way to ensure the general public's right to know the truth.
Li Hongzhu and Gao Shujin from the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Zhao Fuxia at the train station. They deleted all of the phone numbers in her cell phone so she could not contact her family. That night, more than 10 policemen from the Domestic Security Division of the Baarin Left Banner Police Department and a special police unit pressured Ms. Zhao to tell them where she lived and to take them there. They forced their way into her backyard and knocked over the water tank. Next they forced their way in through her back door and ransacked her home. The police then took Ms Zhao away without informing her family.
Ms. Zhao Fuxia Missing for Days While Her Family Searched for Her
In the early morning of February 12, police officers Li Hongzhu, Gao Shujun, and another person with a camera again went to Ms. Zhao Fuxia's home. They went through the house without permission, taking many photographs. They photographed a poetry couplet near the door containing some words about Falun Gong.
Later that morning, Ms. Zhao Fuxia's younger sister took Ms. Zhao's two granddaughters to the Baarin Left Banner Police Department to ask for her release. The police would not let them into the building all morning; the three waited until noon.
At 12 p.m. Gao Shujun came out. Ms. Zhao's sister immediately approached him and asked her sister's whereabouts. Gao only told her that her sister had been arrested and then ordered several security guards to remove them from the premises. Two security guards pushed her out of his way and Gao walked away.
At 8 a.m. on February 13, the family again went to the police department and told the two security guards at the door that they wanted to see Li Hongzhu. The guards would not let them in. The guards lied and said that the entire Domestic Security Division had gone to the countryside. They told the family to wait.
Later, the family went to the government offices of Baarin Left Banner where they saw Gao Yanguo of the 610 Office. They asked him the whereabouts of Ms. Zhao Fuxia. Gao said he didn't know. A family member challenged this. “You all say you don't know. If that is so, we will have to report it.”
Gao said, “I'll help you ask around. Leave me a cell phone number and I'll call you.”
Ten minutes later, the family received a phone call and were told that Ms. Zhao Fuxia was detained in the Baarin Right Banner Detention Center. They immediately went to the detention center. The police guards on duty said, “When Zhao Fuxia was first brought here, the officers who arrested her deleted all the numbers in her phone so we could not notify the family.” The authorities at the detention center would not allow the family to see Ms. Zhao.
Entire Family Persecuted
For many years, Ms. Zhao Guirong, Ms. Zhao Fuxia, their parents – Mr. Zhao Yu and Ms. Zhang Guizhi, as well as their sisters, children, and three generations of other relatives were arrested many times for practicing Falun Gong. They were jailed and their homes were ransacked. The police beat them and severely tortured some.
Ms. Zhao Guirong was arrested on April 6, 2010 and sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. She is held at the Hohhot First Women's Prison. The husband of Ms. Zhao Fuxia's younger sister, Mr. Ja Bin, is also in prison. Mr. Jia was sentenced to five years and is detained in Chifeng City Fourth Prison.
