(Minghui.org) I am a 70-year old Falun Dafa practitioner. I often got tired when I did heavy labor, which made me feel like I was getting old.
When human notions hindered my participation in activities related to the Fa rectification, fellow practitioners suggested that I transcribe the Fa.
Transcribing the Fa
I decided that I should use traditional Kaishu calligraphic style and try to write all the characters about the same size. One day I transcribed:
“Those practices that cultivate both mind and body make one look very young in appearance, and one looks quite different from one’s actual age.” (Lecture Five in Zhuan Falun )
I said to myself, “It is my human notion that has been holding me back. Dafa cultivates both mind and body. As long as one truly practices Dafa, one should become younger and younger.
As I continued to transcribe the Fa, I kept eliminating anything that was not righteous and all kinds of attachments. My mind became much more pure along the way. The feeling of immersing myself completely in the Fa seemed to be something beyond words to describe. It is exactly as Master said:
“The heavens clear, the cosmic body transparent, the universe rectified, With the ultimate catastrophe now past, lucent is the whole Cosmos.” (“After the Catastrophe” in Hong Yin )
Now I can work like a younger person. It is not a problem for me to carry a box of printing paper or a box full of DVD discs. With help from Master, it has become a lot less difficult.
Master Is Right by My Side
I can achieve nothing without Master's guidance and care. Here are a few examples.
I frequently go to buy consumables or get printers fixed. I am constantly carrying large quantities of materials. Based on human notions, I should not be able to handle all this by myself. However, I feel that I am being helped. One day I was on a bus carrying the materials, and it started to pour. I pleaded with Master, “These materials cannot get wet, because they are meant to save people.” I also sent righteous thoughts. After a few stops, the rain ceased.
I often go to different residential neighborhoods to deliver informational materials by hanging them on people's doors. Sometimes when I see the community gate locked, I ask for Master's help and send forth righteous thoughts at the same time. Then I say to the gate, “Please open for me.” Then I pull on it, and it opens. This has happened so many times.
One day a fellow practitioner's printer was jammed with a dozen pages. The practitioner tried all kinds of ways to pull them out. I tried but couldn't do it, either. Suddenly I recalled Master's words, “...behind every practitioner there is my fashen...” (Lecture Three in Zhuan Falun)
I then asked for Master's help and started sending forth righteous thoughts. We tried one more time, and the paper came out.
So many similar situations have happened and been solved liked this. Master is, in fact, doing all these, while we are allowed to establish our mighty virtue. Thank you, Master!
My whole family has benefited from my practicing Dafa. I'll share two examples.
Granddaughter Admitted to a Top University
While her classmates were still in their first year of high school, my granddaughter was admitted to a top university. It was truly a miracle because she skipped two grades.
When my granddaughter was four, I used to read Zhuan Falun to her every night. When I went out to distribute Falun Gong informational materials, she was always with me no matter how far I was going to deliver them.
When she was in elementary school, she left me and went back to live with her parents. Although she did not continue to practice Dafa in her daily life, the seed had been planted in her heart, and she often watched me making Falun Gong informational materials and she helped me as much as she could. One time she used five yuan from her own savings to buy a container of red paint. She gave it to me, and said, “You can use it to write on the self-adhesive stickers.” Sometimes she would talk to her classmates and their parents about quitting the Chinese Communist Party.
Although my granddaughter did not do too much to save sentient beings, she has been rewarded with a great deal of good fortune.
This year over 20,000 students took the college examination, and she ranked in the top 10%. She selected only two renowned universities in the province. Although only about 200 students from the province got admitted to these two universities, my granddaughter was fortunate enough to be one of them.
Malignant Tumor Turned Out to Be Benign
Six years ago, my son-in-law developed a large tumor in his armpit and it kept growing. The hospital said it was malignant and gave him six months to live. It was a blow to the entire family.
Prior to his surgery, he and the entire family recited wholeheartedly, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” After over four hours in surgery, the tumor weighing more than a kilogram was removed along with a portion of his scapula.
After his doctor studied his follow-up images, he told us, “The tumor is benign.” It was such wonderful news. My son-in-law has now fully recovered and is tumor free.
In the past ten years of cultivation, I have encountered a lot of hardships and obstacles. Only with Master's care and guidance, my firm belief in Master and Dafa, and my constantly remembering “I am a true Dafa practitioner” could I have made it to this point. Thank you, Master!
