(Minghui.org) Mr. Hu Xiaojiang, a Falun Gong practitioner from Wanyuan City in Sichuan Province, was arrested on October 20, 2013 by Domestic Security police, and has been detained in Wanyuan Detention Center for more than five months. His case is being reviewed by the Wanyuan Procuratorate.
Mr. Hu’s family submitted an application for his parole in late December 2013, but the prosecutor's office has not responded. According to sources familiar with the case, a senior leader in the prosecutor's office ordered Mr. Hu to write a guarantee statement, promising to stop practicing Falun Gong, to be released.
Mr. Hu owns a cell phone store. At lunch time on March 21, 2013, he received several phone calls from Domestic Security police officers Ye Xudong and Wang Qiang, ordering him to come to the police department. Realizing they intended to arrest him, he refused. Within an hour, officers Wang Qiang, Liu Xi, Li Leidong, and others came to his store, and took Mr. Hu to Wanyuan No. 1 Detention Center.
In 2012, when Hu Xiaojiang was handing an informational flyer about Falun Gong to a customer in his store, an undercover officer took a photo. Based on the photo, the police have twice arrested him and raided his home.
