(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Aihua and Ms. Chen Xiaojun from Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province have been illegally detained at Zhuhai No. 1 Detention Center for 16 months even though the court declared nine months earlier that they could not convict them due to lack of evidence. Both practitioners are being made to do forced labor every day, making plastic flowers.
Liu Aihua's daughters Wang Shanshan and Wang Xuan, who live in the U.S., expressed their frustration: “Our dad lost his life due to the persecution. Our mom has been subjected to arrests, forced labor and brainwashing many times. It's been 16 months since she was taken to the detention center. Even though the court has failed to make a conviction against her for lack of evidence, they refuse to acquit her and refused our family's requests to visit her.”
Liu Aihua and Chen Xiaojun' family members went to see the officials from the relevant departments many times to ask for their release, but were told that the officials were, “not in a position to decide.”
This is the eighth time that Ms. Liu Aihua has been arrested and detained. She is said to be doing forced labor for long periods of time in a dimly-lit room. As a result of having to sit for long periods of time, her buttocks have have developed sores, which have become infected. She is also suffering from high blood pressure and her health is in serious condition. Her family's request for medical parole has been repeatedly rejected with frivolous excuses by the detention center and relevant judiciary departments.
Ms. Liu's daughters are calling on people to pay attention to the situation of their mother and Ms. Chen Xiaojun.
