(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wu Youqing, Ms. Zhou Daqiong, and Ms. Hu Xiuhui were illegally sentenced and taken to Guangzhou Women’s Prison on February 27, 2014. Ms. Wu and Ms. Hu were recently diagnosed with uterine fibroids and other illness symptoms.
Ms. Wu, Ms. Hu, and Ms. Zhou, along with Ms. Li Qiao, and Ms. Tian Guying, were arrested on August 1, 2013, while they were handing out Falun Gong materials in Zhusha Town, Xinyi City, Guangdong Province.
On November 8, 2013, Ms. Wu, Ms. Hu, and Ms. Li were tried in the Xinyi City Court. The Zhusha Town Police made up stories and gave false testimony. Ms. Hu Xiuhui was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, Ms. Wu Youqing and Ms. Li Qiao to four years each.
The three practitioners appealed their unfair sentences on December 28, 2013. On January 17, 2014, the Maoming City Intermediate Court closed the case and upheld their sentences.
Despite many requests, the Xinyi City Detention Center did not inform the families that they could visit until February 14, 2014. At that time, all the practitioners were still fairly healthy.
On February 17, they were taken to Guangzhou Women’s Prison.
Ms. Hu’s family received a notice from Guangzhou Prison on April 15, 2014, saying that she had been diagnosed with high blood pressure, hypertension, and uterine fibroids. Her son called and requested a medical parole. The prison told him, “It’s not that easy.”
Her family is very worried because she has been arrested five times since the persecution began ten years ago. Every time she's been arrested was a time her family needed her most.
Ms. Wu’s family received a notice (attached below) from the prison hospital on April 15, 2014, that she had been diagnosed with uterine fibroids and moderate anemia.
The notice received by Ms. Wu Youqing’s family
Ms. Li’s family visited her on April 2, 2014, at Guangzhou Women’s Prison and observed that she did not look well.
We ask that people help the families rescue Ms. Hu Xiuhui, Ms. Wu Youqing, and Ms. Li Qiao.
