(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ma Siyuan, Ms. Huang Xiangrong, Ms. Liu Mingzhen, Ms. Tu Lijuan, Ms. Zhang Xianmo and elderly Ms. Ma were arrested at the home of Ms. Ma Siyuan's sister by officers from the Xinbin Police Station on the morning of April 12, 2014. The police ransacked the homes of six practitioners.

2. [Kunming, Yunnan Province] Ms. Guo Lingna Arrested

Ms. Guo Lingna was taken to the Baima Police Station in Daguanlou for speaking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of April 10, 2014.

3. [Qinghai] Ms. Zhang Rongjuan Severely Tortured

Ms. Zhang Rongjuan was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment for tapping into a satellite television program to clarify the facts about the Tiananmen Self-immolation Incident. Ms. Zhang was handcuffed and hung up for 18 days in the Qinghai Provincial Women's Prison. Her feet were so extremely swollen that the skin almost burst. The guards employed many ways to try to force her to give up practicing Falun Gong. They shocked her with four electric batons, causing her feet to become disfigured.

4. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Baoxiang Arrested

Ms. Gao Baoxiang was arrested on April 11, 2014.

5. [Jiuquan, Gansu Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Detained at the Jiuquan Detention Center

Chen Jianhua and officers from the Suzhou Police Department arrested Ms. Li Kuangfeng from Lanzhou on October 22, 2013. Officers from the Jiuquan Police Department, the Suzhou Police Department and the Youtian Police Department arrested elderly Ms. Zhou Shufang and Ms. He Niudui on November 5, 2013. The three practitioners are being held at the Jiuquan Detention Center.

6. [Xianyang, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Xiangmei's Home Ransacked

Ms. Xu Xiangmei was arrested by police when she spoke to people about Falun Gong on April 6, 2014. She managed to escape, but the police grabbed her bag and obtained her cell phone and key. The police ransacked her home on the morning of April 11, 2014.

7. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Ronglan Detained

Ms. Li Ronglan was arrested and taken to the Linxi Detention Center.

8. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Zhiyan Harassed by Police

Three officers from the Gangbei Police Station pretended to be neighborhood committee personnel and asked Ms. Yang Zhiyan to open the door of her home on the morning of March 5, 2014. They barged into her home and ransacked it. They took away pictures of Master Li Hongzhi and Falun Dafa books. The police threatened Ms. Yang to cooperate with the home raid, telling her that if she didn't, she would be taken away and detained for 15 days.

9. [Changsha, Huan Province] Ms. Zhao Yalin Arrested

Officers from the Jinpenling Police Station in Tianxin District and the Changsha County Domestic Security Division ransacked Ms. Zhao Yalin's home on the night of March 29, 2014. Ms. Zhao lives near the Changsha University of Science and Technology. The police confiscated two bank cards, several computers and printers. Ms. Zhao was also arrested.

10. [Jinyun, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lou Weili Secretly Sentenced

Ms. Lou Weili was secretly sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment.

11. [Bayanzuoer, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Liu Shanghong, Mr. Wang Guocai and Mr. Fang Jianguo Arrested

Officers from the Criminal Team of the Wulateqian Flag Police Department arrested Ms. Liu Shanghong, Mr. Wang Guocai and Mr. Fang Jianguo on the early morning of April 8, 2014. Ms. Liu was taken to the Chengjiao Police Station for interrogation; while the other two practitioners were taken to the Xihuan Police Station. The three practitioners were held for a 15-day term.

12. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. She Yue, Close to Death, Facing Illegal Trial

Mr. She Yue has been held at the Dalian Detention Center for almost two years. He is on the verge of death. He is very weak and needs an intravenous infusion every day. The Dalian 210 Hospital refused to accept him because they were afraid of bearing responsibility for his precarious condition. The Dalian Detention Center still refuses to release Mr. She. The Zhongshan Court plans to try him.

13. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Twelve Falun Gong Practitioners Recently Arrested

Officers from the Guan County Police Department arrested 12 Falun Gong practitioners on April 8 and 9, 2014. They are Mr. Gao Hongfang, Ms. Li Yaqing, Mr. Pan Dongsheng, Mr. Xing Rubin, Mr. Zhang Xinghe, Ms. Li Shuqin, Mr. Chen Qingzhong, Mr. Gaizhen, Ms. Feng'e, Ms. Qiu Ju, and Mr. Guo Jinyong's wife and mother. Mr. Guo's wife and mother were released that the evening. The other practitioners are being held at the Guan County Detention Center.

14. [Dehui, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Hongxia Taken to Changchun No. 3 Detention Center

The police ransacked Ms. Zhu Hongxia's home on March 25, 2014. They took away a computer and printer, Falun Dafa books and two cases of truth-clarification materials. Ms. Zhu was arrested. She was transferred to the Changchun No. 3 Detention Center after being held in Dehui for 15 days.

15. [Yongdeng, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Aiyun Held

Ms. Wang Aiyun was found carrying Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials such as books, DVDs and flyers in her bag when she was at the security check point in the Yongfeng County Train Station on the night of April 11, 2014. She and her husband, who is not a practitioner, were held by station personnel for one night. Their pictures were taken the next day.

16. [Muleng, Heilongjiang Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Harassed

Li Chentian, an official from Maqiaohe Town, Muleng, went to Ms. Xu Chengqin's home to harass her on April 11, 2014. A person surnamed Gong from the Maqiaohe Town government security office, and Yu Bo, a local policeman, went to the homes of practitioners Ms. Xu Chengqin, Ms. Li Shuzhi (who was not at home), Ms. Liu Lilan and Ms. Liu Xiuju to harass them. They threatened Ms. Liu Lilan about burning Master Li Hongzhi's pictures and truth-clarification calendars. They also took Master Li Hongzhi's DVD lecture and a copy of Master Li's articles.

17. [Shulan, Jilin Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Detained

Mr. Tian Yingliang, Ms. Zhao Qingfen and Ms. Li Yinghua from Jishu Town, Shulan were arrested by officers from the Jishu Police Station on March 18, 2014. They were held for two weeks. Ms. Li has been released. When Mr. Tian and Ms. Zhao's families went to pick them up, they were told that the two practitioners had been transferred to a brainwashing center.

18. [Qianan, Hebei Province] Mr. Song Naiwen Arrested

Chen Yuxi, chief of the Dawuli Police Station; Ha Fulong, deputy chief; and six policemen arrested Mr. Song Naiwen at work on the morning of April 11, 2014. Mr. Song works at the Dashihe Geology Drilling Team. Ha Fulong beat Mr. Song and went to ransack his apartment. They took away books, flyers and DVDs related to Falun Gong.

19. [Boli, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Jinku Tortured in Hulan Prison

Mr. Zhang Jinku, a Falun Gong practitioner in Boli County, Heilongjiang Province, has been severely abused in Hulan Prison and his health is deteriorating. Mr. Zhang's family visited him on March 7, 2014. Zhang was brought to the visiting room in a wheelchair. He had to be supported by two people when he stood up to walk. A friend of Zhang Jinku's visited him in Hulan Prison on March 13. Zhang told his friend that he often felt sleepy. Zhang's friend asked, “Have you ever been beaten? Have you received any injections?” upon seeing his weak condition. A guard took Mr. Zhang away immediately when he overheard the conversation.
