May 6, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Jin Ruiling, a 62-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Dachang County, Hebei Province, was arrested on the evening of March 29, 2014. She was administratively detained the following day, and transferred to criminal detention on April 4. Her family received notification of her arrest on April 18. Ms. Jin is being detained at the Sanhe City Detention Center.

According to information provided by the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of Dachang County, Party Secretary General Liu Hui said they would deal with her severely, and demand that the court and procuratorial department “secure” the evidence to get Ms. Jin sentenced. Liu also instructed his staff to rush the case for a quick sentencing.

Ms. Jin is retired from her job as a bank employee in Dachang County. Her in-laws and elderly father are all in their eighties. Both of her in-laws are ill and require daily care. Her father suffers from encephalatrophy and cannot care for himself. Her husband is in his sixties, and is not physically well after a car accident several years ago. He now has to take care of all three elderly family members.

Ms. Jin has been persecuted several times. She was arrested in September 2001, and sent to the county 610 Office Brainwashing Center for ten days. Agents from the 610 Office arrested her in August 2004, and sent her to the Langfang Brainwashing Center for 40 days. Her personal computer, cell phone, printer, and Dafa books were all confiscated.

Ms. Jin and two other practitioners, Ms. Liu Xiuxiang and Ms. Cheng Ying, went to Dadongguan Village in Qigezhuang Township on the evening of March 29, 2014, to give out truth-clarifying materials. Some villagers reported them to the police. Two police vehicles were dispatched from the Qigezhuang Police Station shortly after 9:00 p.m. to arrest the three practitioners. The police interrogated them at the police station.

Deputy director Sun Zhigang and Domestic Security Division chief Wang Qinhan made a decision on March 30 to administratively detain the three practitioners, Ms. Cheng Ying for six days, Ms. Liu Xiuxiang and Ms. Jin Ruiling for eight days.

The homes of the three practitioners were searched in the afternoon. Ms. Liu’s mother, who is in her eighties, was terrified. Ms. Jin’s home was searched three times, once at noon on March 30, a second time at 2:00 p.m., and a third time the next day. Her personal property was confiscated, including a computer, a printer, paper, and Dafa books. The police had no search warrant when they searched her home.

Ms. Jin was later transferred to criminal detention. Ms. Chen was transferred to the Langfang Brainwashing Center on April 5, and Ms. Jin on April 4. On April 18, they placed Ms. Jin under arrest. She is now in the Sanhe City Detention Center.

Liu Hui, 50, is the deputy County magistrate and the Party secretary general of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee. He is from Beiwu Village, Xiadian County. In 1999 when the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, Liu, then the director of the Dachang County Broadcasting Commission, actively persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He has many times persecuted his own colleague and classmate, Mr. Liu Xiuxiang.
