(Minghui.org) Sometimes, out of fear, a practitioner will betray another practitioner to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This happened to me. The CCP illegally arrested a practitioner in my area and sent him to a brainwashing center. While there, he revealed my name to the authorities.
His wife went to various government departments to demand his release. As a result, she was also arrested. The husband's workplace placed their teenage son with a relative.
Another Dafa coordinator and I tried to find their son's whereabouts after hearing that they were arrested. We visited their neighbor, who is also a practitioner. We gave the neighbor 200 yuan and asked him to pass the money to the son. The neighbor refused.
Master said:
“The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things.” (Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference)
The coordinator finally located the son. We asked him if he wanted to stay with practitioners, or have practitioners to look after him at his own home. The son decided to stay with his relative.
Betrayal
The coordinator and I visited the husband when he was released a month later. When we arrived, the husband said, “You must leave. I reported you. If you don't leave, my wife might not be released. Please leave now!”
How could this practitioner sell us out? He seemed to have cultivated well, with a good understanding of the Fa. I tried to think of what to do.
The coordinator said, “Let's send righteous thoughts to clear out anything that will interfere with us.”
Later, I discussed the situation with several other practitioners. They urged me to hide, so I resigned from my highly-paid job and stayed home studying the Fa.
Insight
Then I took a step back and began to think things over for myself. I realized that I should not acknowledge this. This practitioner only betrayed himself, not me. This exposed his xinxing problems.
People look down on those who betray their friends. From my understanding as a practitioner, he was following the principles of the old universe and could be eliminated. He could not hurt me.
If I did not work, I would become destitute. This was not the path Master arranged for me.
I am Master's disciple and only follow Master's arrangements. Even though I have my attachments and omissions, I will get rid of them during my cultivation. No being is worthy of forcing any so-called test on me, because Master is taking care of me.
Master said:
“If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.” (Zhuan Falun)
Master will not allow anyone to harm me. I felt relieved after I came to this realization. My former boss called me soon after and would not accept my resignation. This confirmed my understanding.
Of course, I carry no hatred for the practitioner who betrayed me. I feel only compassion and tolerance for him. He was in a very difficult situation and under a great deal of pressure. I hope that he will let go of his attachments and get back on track soon.
