(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Wenying and I were illegally arrested on January 22, 2014, as we were walking towards a farmers’ market. Police officers first grabbed practitioner Ms. Huang Wenying, and then grabbed the bag that I had on my shoulder. They wrapped the bag’s strap around my throat, nearly strangling me.
We were pushed into a car and taken to the Linyuan Police Department, where we were searched. They took 3,500 yuan in cash, a cell phone, and the Falun Gong informational flyers that we were carrying.
I was put in a car and taken away without explanation. The car soon arrived at the residential area where I lived. I realized that they planned to search my home.
Officer Han Jun led eight other officers from the Linyuan Police Department to search my home. They took Master’s portrait (the founder of Falun Gong), more than 100 books, a computer, and supplies for making informational flyers about Falun Gong.
The police kept shouting while they searched, and said that each page of printed material was considered one item, so they claimed they found over one thousand items. Upon finding one calendar with a Dafa message on it, an officer yelled, “Ten calendars.” They exaggerated the numbers to claim more “evidence” for further persecution.
My husband was also taken to the police department. I refused to answer their questions during my interrogation. For a few moments I felt very weak, and they had to stop the questioning.
The police later called in my husband’s sister to process paperwork for bail. The paper had a sentence reading, “...will not hire a lawyer.” I protested, “No one said anything about this to me. Why did you include that?” The officer said, “This is routine, so it's on the paper.”
After they took my picture, a DNA sample, and my fingerprints, I was released at 8:00 p.m.
Forced to Leave Home
Four days later, on January 26, 2014, my husband received a call from the police, asking me to come to the police department the next day to confirm some information. In the past, the police arrested two practitioners using the same trick.
To avoid being arrested, I left home and went into hiding. The harassment by the police has caused me great pressure. The Chinese Communist Party’s persecution by association has also extended to my family members.
