(Minghui.org) Citizens in Beijing and Langfang are standing up to the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In March and April 2014, 262 people supported Falun Gong practitioners by signing a petition demanding that the CCP stop persecuting Falun Gong.
The petition to stop persecuting Falun Gong
The petition read: “The Jiang Zemin regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. The persecution has not only directly persecuted hundreds of thousands of innocent Chinese, but also left more to live in a state of helplessness and terror. Because the government put a tight lid on such information, outsiders did not know anything about this persecution. Please sign the petition to show your kindness and support for justice. Let us create an auspicious future together.”
This effort to get people to sign the petition was an opportunity for many people to learn details about specific cases of persecution. Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Huiwang of Bazhou is in critical condition because of a hunger strike to protest his illegal detention. Numerous practitioners from Shanhe have been arrested recently. Mr. Bian Lichao, a teacher from Tangshanm was illegally detained. His wife, Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen; his teenage daughter; and friend Ms. Chen Yinghua were also detained when they went to the prison to demand his release. Many citizens are outraged by these arrests.
Solemn Statements from Non-Practitioners
Many citizens have a good impression of Falun Gong. As a result practitioners' ongoing efforts, they realize that Falun Gong is extraordinary. Some typical comments: “We finally understand clearly that the CCP had lied to us for decades." "Falun Gong is not what the CCP portrays it to be." "The CCP does not want people to be good persons, and it bullies good people. We will sign and support you.”
A graduate student said: “Our generation is the most pathetic. Being called the 'only child' (note: referring to China's one-child policy), we do not enjoy anything. After graduating from college, we are desperate to get into graduate school, or else we cannot find a job. My parents have to worry about having to spend tens of thousands of yuan on the tuition, and I carry a huge psychological burden. I don't know what will happen when I graduate. We know the CCP should be destroyed, but we don't dare to challenge it. We will support you.”
A man who frequently traveled abroad said: “It's very strange. I was always thoroughly interrogated in a small room when I left to go abroad. When I asked them why, they said, 'There are some concerns.' A practitioner clarified the facts about Falun Gong to me one day. He suggested that I recite in my heart 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' when I encountered the same problem. I tried it one time though I was doubtful, but it worked. I felt at that moment that Falun Gong is really miraculous. I have not had any problem since. I'll sign the petition.”
A high school student who signed the petition told his own story: “One day I was hurrying home after night classes on my motorcycle and hit a middle-aged man on a bicycle. We both fell down. When I tried to help him up, he, without thinking of himself, asked me if I was all right. He then said that he was fine. Actually, he was not. He sat on the ground until his wife arrived. His bicycle was totaled, but he did not want me to pay for it. They told me that they were Falun Gong practitioners and asked me to remember, 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' When my parents heard what happened, they cried to think that such good people still existed and realized that Falun Gong had been framed by the Party. They told me to remember the goodness of Falun Gong.”
Someone selling produced said: “Falun Gong practitioners are the kindest people in the world. They do not take advantage of anyone. On one occasion, a practitioner paid me with one 5-yuan bill for vegetables, and I thought it was 10 yuan. She immediately returned the extra change to me when she noticed it at home. That meant a lot to me, because, as a small vendor, I do not make that much a day. I support Falun Gong. I'll sign the petition.”
A middle-aged man said: “I was riding an electric tricycle home for lunch at high speed one day and hit a middle-aged woman on a bicycle at an intersection. Selfishly, I did not stop--I just sped away. When I heard a loud voice, I thought she was yelling at me for what I did. As a matter of fact, she was calling out, 'Falun Dafa is good!' I was moved, but I still did not stop. After this incident, I started to listen to the truth clarification because I know Falun Gong is good. I support you, I'll sign the petition.”
A woman said: “I have watched Shen Yun DVDs. The performance is really good. I was so moved that tears came to my eyes every time I watched it. I have watched it repeatedly, and my cold legs that have hurt me for decades vanished for good. Falun Gong is miraculous. I'll sign the petition to support you.”
A security guard said: “Falun Gong is very good. We wrongfully monitored them in the past. We now understand the facts. We will not do it anymore even if we are told by a superior to follow the practitioners. We want to become good, too. I'll sign the petition to support you.”
An elderly person said: “My son is a policeman. He now knows Falun Gong is good. He also realizes that he was deceived by the CCP. He no longer persecutes Falun Gong. He thinks it will be wonderful if the CCP regime stops persecuting Falun Gong. I'll sign the petition.”
A person who was bought out into retirement said: “I was unlucky. I was very healthy before I was bought out. Since the buyout, I have lost my medical insurance and my health has deteriorated. I was sick at home all the time, because I do not have money for treatment. A friend who had not seen me for years came to see me one day. He was surprised at my poor health and encouraged me to learn Falun Gong. He suggested that I at least recite 'Falum Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' in my heart. I recited these words for a few days and, surprisingly, my diseases disappeared. It was really a miracle. Falun Gong is so good. Obviously, the CCP has been lying. We all have been cheated. I'll sign the petition to support you.”
More and More People Support Falun Gong Practitioners
The CCP has promoted a genocidal policy regarding Falun Gong practitioners since the Jiang Zemin regime launched the persecution in 1999. For example: “Those beaten to death are to be considered suicides. There is no need to verify their identity. Just cremate their bodies.” The CCP officials also have cruelly harvested organs from living practitioners for their own personal gain.
In the past 15 years, the CCP has killed thousands of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. As observers have pointed out, this is only a fraction of the actual number of deaths. Countless practitioners have been illegally detained and tortured. Many of them had their families broken up. Some practitioners have been forced out of school, laid-off, and had their wages suspended, and some are not allowed to go to college, etc.
Those working in public security, the procuratorate, and the judiciary, who are directly in charge of or follow orders to carry out the persecution, have committed terrible crimes and created endless karma. Whether they followed orders out of fear or saw it as an opportunity to get a promotion and gain wealth, they will pay for their sins in the future.
Practitioners have persistently clarified the facts about Falun Gong and the CCP's persecution. The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published in 2004 lays out the truth about the CCP, and more and more Chinese have come to understand the truth and denounce the CCP.
More and more perpetrators, who worked for the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the 610 Office, and the public security sector have received retribution for their crimes. Many who had been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong have awakened and now privately help practitioners. The schemes that the CCP has used to drive people to persecute Falun Gong with lies and money is collapsing. More than 160 million people have already quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
The CCP's tactics of suppressing public opinion by means of terror has failed. The Chinese people do not believe in it anymore. In a society that is conditioned to “look out for number one” these petitions in support of Falun Gong are especially significant and representative of the people's strong dissatisfaction with the Communist Party.
