(Minghui.org) Beijing in the spring is usually sunny with blue skies. This year, however, it was hazy and rainy. By the end of May, the temperature reached a record-breaking 107 degrees Fahrenheit.
The ancient Chinese believed in the “Oneness of Heaven and Man.” We believe that the persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist regime is responsible for the strange weather, social unrest, and violent incidents in Beijing and elsewhere in China.
The Communist regime has always used violence to curb unrest. Policemen in uniform and plainclothes have been patrolling the streets, overpasses, bridges, and different areas in Beijing, as if a great catastrophe were imminent.
Despite the bizarre weather and strict security measures in Beijing, Falun Dafa practitioners have been able to clarify the truth about the practice.
I would like to share three incidents of people coming to understand Falun Dafa, quitting the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, and accepting Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.
“Please Send My Regards to Teacher Li”
I met an elderly man during the Dragon Boat Festival and said, “How are you today? I'd like to share two phrases with you, 'Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'”
The man said that he knew that Falun Dafa was good, so I told him, “The Communist Party has been persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Please do not believe its propaganda.”
He said, “I know that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation was staged by the Party. My neighbor was illegally sentenced to five years in prison for doing the practice. The Communist Party is truly wicked.”
This let me dig a little deeper, and I asked him if he had heard of the "Quit the Party" movement.
He had heard about it from volunteers calling him and encouraging him to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. At the time he wanted to think about it. Then he was concerned when he no longer heard from them.
I explained that they made many phone calls and might just have missed calling him again. I let him know that I could help him quit.
He told me, “Yes, I joined. Please help me quit. Most people know that the Communist Party is very corrupt and evil.”
Then I asked him if he had heard of the 270-million-year-old stone found in Guizhou Province foretelling the collapse of the Chinese Communist Party.
This was not the first time he had heard about that stone and he promised to remember "Falun Dafa is good" and "The Chinese Communist Party Will Collapse."
Before saying good bye he said, “Please give my regards to Teacher Li when you see Him.”
“These Are Treasures. Please Give Me All of Them Next Time You See Me.”
When I was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in May 2014, a cab driver took one. I tried to give one to a man standing next to the driver, but he refused to take it.
I explained to him, “This is a world-class performance. Their mission is to revive and spread traditional Chinese culture. Many people have enjoyed it.”
Perhaps he guessed that I was a practitioner and therefore did not want to take the DVD. I knew that he was deceived by the Party propaganda. So I continued to try to persuade him, hoping that he would take a copy.
He said, “I'm going to call the police if you do not leave.”
The driver quickly chimed in, “These DVDs are treasures to me. Please give me all of them next time you see me.”
After that the man had nothing to say.
“The Last DVD”
I distributed the last few batches of the 2013 Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD in March 2014. Most people were glad to get one. Some commented, “This is a very professional group. It is so beautiful!”
I ran into a cab driver and reached out to him. I said, “I'd like to give you this DVD. Shen Yun Performing Arts is a world-class company and its mission is to revive and spread the ancient traditional Chinese culture. They have toured many countries and their shows are usually sold out.”
He said, “I'd like to have a copy.”
I gave him the last copy. Looking disappointed, he asked, “Why are you giving me a copy of last year's show? Do you have this year's DVD?”
I explained, “You are very lucky! I'm giving you the last copy that I have of their 2013 performance. Next time I will be handing out 2014 Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.”
He replied, “I guess I'm the lucky one then. Next year I'll be waiting for you under this lamppost. Make sure you bring me a copy of the 2014 Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD.” I reassured him, “I will be looking for you next year.”
