(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ke Guie Detained

Wang Xongyi and three other officers from the State Security Division broken into Ms. Ke Guie's rented house on the afternoon of May 12, 2014. The officers arrested Ms. Ke, Ms. Jiang Biyu, Ms. Xu Xuezhen, and Ms. Liu, who were studying Falun Dafa teachings. The officers took their books and the materials that clarify the facts. They took the four practitioners to the State Security Division. Three of them, who are elderly, were later released, Ms. Ke was taken to the Wuxue Detention Center.

2. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Chen Tianjie Arrested

Mr. Chen Tianjie was arrested by officers from the Luqiao Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on April 30, 2014. The officers ransacked his home. Mr. Chen is being held in the Luqiao Detention Center.

Mr. Chen's wife, Ms. Yang Zongying, died as a result of the persecution on April 21, 2014. Mr. Chen's father could not take care of himself. His mother now has to take care of both her husband and her 11-year-old granddaughter.

Ms. Liu Zhaopu was arrested on May 11, 2014. She was taken to the Shifang City Detention Center.

Ms. Yu Yueping and Ms. Fu Xiaoyuan were arrested on the morning of May 13, 2014. The police ransacked their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Zhangshu City Detention Center.

Mr. Feng Yougui, 63, was arrested on May 16, 2014. The police ransacked his home. Mr. Feng is being held in the Taihu Detention Center.

7. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xizheng and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xizheng, Ms. Wang Zhimin, and two practitioners from Linyi City were arrested on May 16, 2014.

8. [Zoucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Xijuan and Ms. Du Guangying Arrested

Ms. Du Xijuan and Ms. Du Guangying from the Beisu Coal Mine were arrested by officers from the Beisu Police Station for telling others about Falun Gong on the afternoon of May 17, 2014.

9. [Boxing County, Shandong Province] County Domestic Security Division Monitors Practitioners

The County Domestic Security Division installed a surveillance camera in front of Ms. Li Yin's home recently. They also followed Mr. Dai Dongwu and his wife.

10. [Renhuai City, Guizhou Province] Several Practitioners Forced to Provide Blood Samples

In May of 2014, officers from the Canglong Police Station broke into Mr. Meng Tianming's home and took blood from him against his will. Officers from the Zhongshu Police Station broke into Mr. Zhao Yunlie's home and drew blood from him. The police later went to their homes again to collect blood a second time.

Ms. Wang Xiaoying got word that she had to go to the police station for blood testing. Ms. Tan Chengxian got a phone call from the police telling her to show up for blood testing.

11. [Chongqing] Ms. Jiang Changju Arrested

Ms. Jiang Changju from the Yubei District was arrested while posting self-adhesive signs by the Huixing Police Station on the afternoon of May 13, 2014. The police took her Falun Gong informational brochures and DVDs, over 100 yuan worth of paper bills with facts about Falun Gong written on them, and 2,000 yuan in cash. The police later told her husband to take her home.

12. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jinlong Arrested

Mr. Wang Jinlong was arrested on May 17, 2014. His home was ransacked. Mr. Wang's wife has no job and their daughter is only 11 years old.

13. [Gansu Province] Close to a Hundred Practitioners Held in Tianshui Prison and Lanzhou Women's Prison

For over a decade, numerous practitioners have been killed or disabled in Tianshui Prison and Lanzhou Women's Prison. Nearly 100 practitioners are still being held in these prisons.

Mr. Liu Zhirong was tortured to death in Tianshui Prison. Mr. Xu Feng has been held in Tianshui Prison for over 12 years. He has become emaciated as a result of torture.
