(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Guo Huibin and his wife, Ms. Feng Shifen, both 78, were arrested at around 8:00 p.m. on January 12, 2012, by officers from the Miyi Domestic Security Division. They were both illegally sentenced to three years in prison on January 16, 2012.
Mr. Guo was transferred to Wumaping Prison in Sichuan Province on February 9, 2012, but was released after the prison officials refused to accept him due to his health problems. The local authorities have been monitoring and harassing Mr. Guo ever since his release.
Ms. Feng was transferred to Yangmahe Prison in Sichuan Province on February 9, 2012, and is being held in the No. 3 Ward. She is forced to do slave labor and her work hours have been extended.
The couple have been persecuted by the local 610 Office and the authorities for their belief since 2005. They have been monitored, harassed, arrested, sentenced, and had their home ransacked.
They were arrested for the first time on December 14, 2005, while reading Falun Gong books with other practitioners at home.
Around 100 officers and local officials in about 10 police cars from the Miyi County 610 Office, Police Department, and Comprehensive Administration broke into their home and arrested everyone there. They ransacked the home and confiscated a television, a DVD player, two cassette players, Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, and several hundred yuan in cash.
More than 30 practitioners' homes were also ransacked and practitioners had money extorted from them.
Mr. Guo and Ms. Feng were detained for 30 days.
Both Mr. Guo and Ms. Feng are from Xiaohe Village, Binggu Town, Miyi County in Sichuan Province.
