(Minghui.org) I made a phone call one day: “Hello, how are you? I would like to take a few minutes to tell you about an important issue. Have you heard about the three withdrawals to secure a safe and sound future?” There was no answer and the other party hung up the phone.
Shortly afterward, he sent me a text message: “If you call again, I will call the police.” Since I was making another phone call, I chose to ignore him. He was still furious and sent another text, he cursed in the most indecent language, and marked it with laughter to finish his text. I chose not to react, and continued to ignore him.
I sent him a message on the third day: “You have parents, sisters and maybe daughters, yet you used that kind of language to someone who tells you the truth to save you from a big calamity. Do you think that is appropriate?” In the meantime, I sent forth strong righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors preventing him from listening to the truth, so that he could listen, accept and withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates. He immediately responded: “I do not know you.” He seemed to have totally forgotten that he had cursed at me.
I called him: “I am the one who told you the truth three days ago.” He replied: “Oh.” and did not say anything more. Since he did not hang up the phone, I told him the basic information about Falun Gong, and its healing effect and power to lift one's moral standard. He said: “I am going to eat, call me later.” I said alright. One hour later, I called him again, and he said: “I am tired, we can talk tomorrow.” I said alright again.
Master taught us:
“Don’t be bothered when people have a certain attitude or misunderstandings. When you act just to save the person, to save sentient beings, then I think the impact of that can change everything. If, however, as you clarify the truth your mind is affected by ordinary human attachments, then you won’t be able to achieve anything.” (“Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan”)
I thought that as long as he picked up the phone, I would not give up on him.
I called him the next night: “Hello, how are you? Do you have time to talk?” “Whatever you want to say, go ahead.” I told him that I had poor health in the past, then after four months of practicing Falun Gong, I gained complete health. I explained that Falun Dafa has benefited and blessed so many cultivators and that is the reason why so many people from all walks of life practice it.
Persistence Pays Off
I also told him about April 25, 1999, when 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners gathered peacefully in Beijing to ask the country's leadership to stop harassing them. I continued with the truth of the Tiananmen Self-immolation, and the proverb that heaven will eliminate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In the end I said: “We Falun Gong cultivators risk our lives, devoting so much time to make DVDs and truth-clarification flyers in order to help everyone not to be buried with the CCP, and to do the three withdrawals to secure your future. Did we do wrong? Did we disturb you?” The man was speechless.
I asked him: “Did you join the party?” “No.” How about the Communist Youth League?” “That was when I was in school, so didn't I automatically quit that already? It has been so long.” I explained that we have to quit each organization for our withdrawal to be acknowledged by heaven. “Then when heaven eliminates the CCP, you will be safe. God only looks at your heart, and then this will not affect you in any way. May I give you the alias 'Mingfu,' meaning understands the truth and is blessed.” “Oh, thank you,” said the man. I responded, “You do not need to thank me, but you can thank our Master, and remember these words: 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good.'”
With Master's reinforcement, one more person finally awakened his consciousness and was saved.
