(Minghui.org) Ms. Dang Fengling from Tangshan City, Hebei Province, has been held at the No. 1 Detention Center since her arrest in March. She is in critical condition and her family is extremely worried. The police are attempting to fabricate further false charges against her.
Ms. Dang has been in critical condition several times during the three months since her arrest. Heart problems along with a uterine fibroid the size of two fists has sent her to Ankang Hospital (which has been participating in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners since July 1999) twice for medical treatment, and her condition is life threatening.
Ms. Dang's family reached out to several government agencies and the mayor's hotline to obtain a medical release so that Ms. Dang could receive treatment from home. So far they have not received a response.
Ms. Dang started a business that offered home services after she was laid off from her previous job. She hired other laid-off workers and the business provided their customers with excellent service at reasonable rates.
Ms. Dang is known for being kind and happy to help. She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and was well thought of.
Ms. Dang went to work early in the morning on March 13, 2014. As she walked past the entrance of the Hebei Road Elementary School, around six plainclothes officers jumped out of a van, grabbed her, and dragged her inside. The people who saw what happened were indignant and called the police.
About 10 minutes later the police arrived. The plainclothes officers talked quietly to the police and then took Ms. Dang away. When Ms. Dang's daughter-in-law tried to stop them, she was also taken by forced to the Longdong Police Station and detained for 8 hours.
In the late afternoon, the police forced Ms. Dang's daughter-in-law to open the door of Ms. Dang's home. They ransacked it and took Ms. Dang's daughter-in-law's computer. They also ransacked Ms. Dang's office and confiscated 20,000 yuan (about $3,220) in cash.
That same morning, March 13, Ms. Fu Cuizhi was talking to her neighbors when a policeman and policewoman asked her, “Do you know Ms. Dang Fengling?” Ms. Fu said, “Yes, I know her.” The police then ransacked her home.
The Tangshan police and the 610 Office arrested 11 Falun Gong practitioners that day.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Ms. Dang has been persecuted many times. In September 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was detained at the Dongyao Police Station for several days. In April 2006, personnel from the Fengrun Domestic Security Division arrested her. Her home was ransacked and she was imprisoned in a labor camp for a year.
