(Minghui.org) The Jiaozuo Intermediate Court held the appeal hearing of Ms. Ren Haiying from Henan Province on July 30, 2014. They ignored the facts and announced that the original four-year sentence would be kept.
The judge stopped the lawyer in court whenever he mentioned Falun Gong, He also threatened several times that the lawyer would be expelled from the court. When the lawyer accused the judge of violating the law, the judge shouted: “I have the final say in the court.”
When the lawyer pointed out that Falun Gong [the lawyer used a substitute name for it in the court] has been widely spread and supported in the world and it benefits the nation and its people, the judge was speechless. He adjourned the trial in a hurry. After a secret meeting, he announced the original sentence would be upheld.
During the session, the judge's microphone was clear and loud, however, the lawyer's microphone was out of order.
