My Experience Reciting Lunyu

Aug. 5, 2014 |   By a practitioner in Melbourne, Australia

(Minghui.org) Late one evening as I was laying in bed attempting to fall asleep, I wasn't actually sleepy, but just laying there quietly in stillness. I sensed that I, my main spirit, flew out of my physical body, and I felt very light, just like air.

I saw my wife sleeping next to me, and as soon as I exited my body, I felt a bit of fear inside, and sensed a demon about to emerge to my right. I immediately started to recite Lunyu in English. The demon did not even get a chance to emerge. It was dissolved.

I continued reciting Lunyu, and unintentionally flew directly upward in a straight line, very quickly and with great ease. I did not feel hot or cold, nor did I feel heavy or tired. I even felt the wind against my face and going through my hair as I continued to fly upward. All this time, I kept reciting Lunyu.

Whenever I took notice of the substance of fear within me, a demon would attempt to emerge next to me to amplify the fear and stop me. The demon's presence felt “heavy.” As I “took notice” of the fear, it was as though I accepted it as my own self, and hence the demon could come. But every time this occurred, I did my best to concentrate even more on reciting Lunyu, and as such, the demons could not make an appearance, and they all disappeared.

Through this process I learned of the importance of staying true to oneself and not looking at the fears or other attachments in our minds. When I say to not “look at,” I mean to not follow that attachment, and to not let it lead one's thinking. It's as though the moment we look at an attachment – in my case it was fear – instantly something negative tries to emerge. I felt this very clearly during my experience, whereas in the human dimension, if we allow a negative thought, it doesn't seem to have any obvious impact nor manifestation.

I also learned how important it is to concentrate when we study the Fa. As I continued flying straight upward and kept reciting Lunyu, I felt very mighty. It seemed to be a battle between my own concentration and fear. Demons still attempted to appear, but were all unsuccessful. I did not even try to dissolve them intentionally. I just really concentrated when reciting Lunyu, thereby not allowing any interference.

It was a glorious feeling. I spread my arms out with both palms facing upward, and just concentrated on reciting Lunyu. I felt I was in a spacious field where there was nothing, no ground, no sky, just spaciousness.

As I kept reciting Lunyu, I got stuck at one point, and that's when I returned to my physical body. Once I was back in my body, I felt very calm, so still, and extremely well rested. Although I was not meditating, I had just entered into a state of ding (a state of an empty, yet conscious mind).

Don't mistake Zhuan Falun for merely a book with white pages and black ink. Master said:

“I have compressed everything I can give you into the book of Fa, and as long as you read the book you will receive everything.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia”)

The above is my own personal experience. Everything I have shared is merely my own limited understanding at my current level of cultivation, and does not represent the Fa. Always take the Fa as the teacher.
