(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual Mid-Autumn Festival Street Fair held in San Francisco's Chinatown on September 6-7, 2014.

A steady stream of festival-goers walked by the Falun Gong booth, and many had become familiar with the practice through newspapers and television in the last few years. Some began to learn the practice, and others expressed their wish to learn.

Nearly 100 Chinese people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates after they talked to practitioners and understood the facts of the persecution and the major injustice that has been covered-up by the Chinese propaganda.

Practitioners demonstrate the exercises, distribute informational fliers and help the Chinese people quit the CCP and its affiliates.

Practitioners talk to festival-goers about Falun Gong and the persecution in China

Many Chinese people came to the booth to read the books and find out more about the practice.

More and More Chinese People Have Been Awakened

The practitioners couldn’t help but notice that many more Chinese people have recently learned the facts about Falun Gong.

An elderly Chinese man came to the booth and began reading the book Zhuan Falun. He told the practitioners that he read The Epoch Times newspaper every day and knew Falun Gong very well. He has been learning the Falun Gong exercises from the videotapes in the past months, and he wanted to do the exercises with other practitioners. He was glad to find out that there was an exercise site near where he lived.

A man from Sacramento overheard the conversation of the elderly man and the practitioners. He said that he had long wanted to learn qigong and knew that Falun Gong was very popular. After learning that there was an exercise site in Sacramento, he took some informational materials with him and left with a smile.

Ms. Huang stood across from the Falun Gong booth and watched for a long time. When a practitioner talked to her, she said that her son was a practitioner. She was once misled by the CCP’s propaganda against Falun Gong and didn’t want her son to continue the practice.

Ms. Huang said that a practitioner had given her a copy of a truth clarification newspaper every day for the past few years. If the practitioner missed a day, the next day the practitioner would come with two copies of the newspaper, one from the day before. “She was a volunteer, and if she didn’t truly want the best for me, she wouldn’t have kept doing what she did without getting anything in return.”

Through her observation over the past ten years, Ms. Huang said that she knew Falun Gong practitioners have always peacefully protested the CCP's persecution and wanted others to be aware of the true situation. “Falun Gong is indeed good,” said Ms. Huang.

Ms. Huang told the practitioner that she recently began to learn the exercises.

Quitting the CCP

Ms. Chen was walking by the Falun Gong booth when beautiful paper lotus flowers caught her attention that a practitioner was holding. When she stopped, the practitioner asked if she had ever joined the Party or its affiliates, and she nodded. The practitioner mentioned that the CCP has committed numerous heinous crimes in the past and that quitting the Party would help her to stay safe. By doing so she wouldn't be affiliated with it when it falls and pays for the crimes it has committed.

Ms. Chen agreed to quit the Young Pioneers and insisted on using her real name. She took the pen from a practitioner and carefully wrote down her name. She left happy with a paper lotus flower.

Mr. Xiao, another visitor to the booth, announced his withdrawal from the Young Pioneers after he heard a practitioner telling him about the CCP's crimes against humanity. Shortly after he left, Mr. Xiao returned and wanted to help four of his family members to quit the Young Pioneers.

“Keep Up Your Good Efforts!”

Mr. Li , a local resident of San Francisco, came to the Falun Gong booth and carefully read the informational materials and looked at the book Zhuan Falun.

He told the practitioners that he immigrated to the U.S. from Shanghai in the 1980s. He was among one of the tens of millions of Chinese people who were once persecuted by the CCP.

“It’s true that heaven will eliminate the CCP because it has committed so many heinous crimes. Keep up the good work.” He said to practitioners before he left.
