1. Eliminating Human Attachments While Coordinating Technical Support
In spring of 2012, in order to support truth clarification projects in my county, I started to focus on providing technological support for cell phone use. At the beginning, I didn't know much about cell phones. However, I did what Dafa needed me to do.
This project (using cell phones to clarify truth) progressed very slowly in my county. The main problem was that there was no one to provide technical support. When I bought my first cell phone, I learned how to make a truth clarification call (with a recording) with a fellow practitioner's help. I realized that, in order to better clarify the truth using a cell phone, technical support must be in place.
I told fellow practitioners, “From now on I will train anyone who buys a cell phone to use it to clarify the truth.” This prompted more practitioners to buy cell phones. Practitioners learned to use cell phones for this purpose in my home.
While learning myself, I taught others until they knew how to make calls. Fellow practitioners came to me for anything related to cell phones.
Some practitioners had difficulty learning to using a cell phone, and I got impatient. After studying the Fa and exchanging thoughts with fellow practitioners, I came to understand that these bad thoughts were related to my selfishness. I expected others to follow what I thought was best. Master taught us: “... you should consider others first, so as to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism.” (“Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature” in Essentials for Further Advancement)
Now I have mastered several cell phone models and have provided technical support to fellow practitioners to save sentient beings.
I am over 60 years old. I demonstrated my wisdom while learning cell phone technology. Sometimes practitioners brought their out-of-order cell phones to me for repair. When I looked at it, I would have an idea right away of how to fix it. It is Master who gave me the wisdom. It is Dafa that empowers my technical skills.
2. Establishing a Group to Persuade People to Quit the Party Using the Cell Phone
To save more sentient beings, we set up a group effort to use the cell phone to persuade people to make the "three withdrawals" (renouncing their membership in the Communist Party, the Youth League, and/or the Young Pioneers). There were four of us in the group. The first two days, no one we called agreed to quit. Our minds were not affected. We studied the Fa after returning home. On the third day we got our first withdrawal. Gradually, the number of those quitting the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations increased from a few persons a day to more than 10 persons and then to more than 20 per day.
Some of the people I called cursed me or threatened to arrest me. I felt these responses were not random and that they occurred due to my human attachments. Someone threatened to arrest me when I had fear. Someone cursed me when I didn't have compassion.
Now we all have two cell phones. One is for sending out truth clarifying recordings, the other is for persuading people to quit the Party. Sentient beings who understood the truth kept thanking us with sincere gratitude.
3. Validate the Fa by Balancing Family Affairs
I have a son who lives in a big city. In December 2012, he called me and asked me to look after my grandson (who was less than a year old) at his home. I figured that, if I went to my son's home, I'd be the nanny.
I was in charge of the cell phone technical support project in my county. Where could I find someone to replace me? But if I refused my son's request, most people wouldn't understand. I told my son, “Bring your child to my place.” My son said that he and his wife were reluctant to have the child separated from them and insisted that I come to their home.
After hanging up the phone, I looked inward. What loophole did I have that was being taken advantage by old forces? One paragraph of Fa appeared in my mind:
“Cultivate away fame, material interest, and emotion,Reach Consummation, ascending the firmament,With compassion, looking at the world,Only then, awakening from confusion.”(“Reaching Consummation, Completing Gong” in Hong Yin)
I suddenly awakened. I thought I took lightly my love for children. Things like my son's wedding, career, and buying his home did not affect my clarifying the truth in the past. Thus I must have some zealotry. I thought I had passed the sentimentality test. The old forces saw that loophole and wanted to persecute me.
I knew that looking after my grandson should not interfere with the project to save sentient beings. Every day is extended by Master in order to save sentient beings. I said to Master in my heart; “Master, I cannot go look after my grandson. Please help.”
That evening when my husband came home from work, I told him what our son said. My husband supports Dafa. I told him that I could not go. My husband was a little concerned after hearing what I said. He said, “If you don't want to go, I'll go. I'll quit my job. Our family income will just be less.” Thus a seemingly tough problem was resolved easily. Just as Master said:
“... when you can really do it, just like that worn and weary traveler, you’ll see, 'the shade of willows, the blooms of flowers, a place to rest my head'!” (“Ninth Talk” in Zhuan Falun)
This April I went to see my son and explained to him “... with one person practicing, the whole family benefits...” (“Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia”) My son has “Falun Dafa is good” hanging in two bedrooms. I also found that my husband has adapted to the life of taking care of a child.
My son's previous salary was 10,000 yuan per month. Now he works in a new company, and he earns 15,000 yuan per month. Even though my husband quit his job and lost his source of income, Master has already arranged things well for us.
Looking back at the past 15 years of cultivation, Master has protected me every step of the way. I enlightened that, as a life that came for the Fa, I should always put the Fa first.
