Sept. 16, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Tianjin, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Ran Guanquan, 66, from the Binhai New District in Tianjin, was arrested at her home on the afternoon of September 3, 2014. She was taken to the Binhai New District No. 1 Detention Center the next morning.

Officials from the Binhai New District Residential Committee went to Ms. Ran's home at noon on September 3, with the excuse of checking household registrations.

Two hours after they left, about six officers from the Xiangyang Police Station came to Ms. Ran's home to check her household registrations and identification card. They didn't check the residence booklet, but instead ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, Falun Gong books, DVDs and some cash, without showing a search warrant. They then took Ms. Ran to the local police station and told her family that she would be released after asking her a few questions. Ms. Ran was taken to the Xiangyang Police Station and then transferred to the Binhai New District No. 1 Detention Center the following day.
