(Minghui.org) Today's news from China included incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 22 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Chen Xueqing and Ms. Fu Chiying were arrested by agents from the Qujiang 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on August 29, 2014. Their homes were ransacked. They are likely held in the Shaoguan Detention Center.

3. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Zhao Limei and three other practitioners are being held in the Pingquan Police Department Detention Center. One of them is from Yushulinzi Township, and the three others are from Lingyuan County. They were arrested by Pingquan Police Department officers on August 27, 2014.
4. [Chiping County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Held Longer Than Law Stipulated Terms
Mr. Yang Yuxi, Ms. Chen Guizhen, and Mr. Li Xizhu were arrested by officers from the Guangping Police Station on the evening of July 20, 2014. They were taken to the Liaocheng Detention Center and have been held there for 46 days, longer than the maximum legal term of 37 days.
Ten practitioners are being held in the Chiping Detention Center and Liaocheng Detention Center.
5. [Xiamen, Fujian Province] Ms. Wu Youjin Tried
Ms. Wu Youjin and Ms. You Xiujiao were arrested on August 22, 2014 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Domestic Security Division chief Wu Ziting took them to a detention center, but the detention center did not admit them because of their high blood pressure.
Ms. You was released but was warned not to go outside. Ms. Wu was taken back to the Changting Domestic Security Division of Longyan. After her family paid a “fine” of 30,000 yuan, she was released and her husband and son were forced to keep her at home.
Ms. Wu was tried on September 4, 2014.

6. [Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Warrant Issued for Ms. Jiang Yan's Arrest
Ms. Jiang Yan was arrested on July 18, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and she has been held in the Huzhou Detention Center. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Wenmei Detained
Ms. Han Wenmei from Fengjia Village in Lutou Town was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Lutou Police Station.
8. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Lu Songming Missing
Mr. Lu Songming, a teacher at the Xiangtan Electrical Motor Middle School, has been missing since he went out to raise awareness about the persecution on August 30, 2014.
9. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying Facing Trial
Ms. Tian Haiying was arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and has been held for several months. She is now facing a trial.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Wu Xiulan Harassed
Chang Wanxin from the Dongli District 610 Office, Zhang Hongbiao, and six to seven officers from the Fengnian Police Station went to Ms. Wu Xilan's home and attempted to arrest her on September 3, 2014. Ms. Wu did not cooperate with them and avoided the arrest. Officers ransacked her home and confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong, several copies of Falun Gong books, Minghui Weekly, an MP3 player, and about 1,000 yuan with messages about Falun Gong written on them.
11. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Jun Held in Brainwashing Center
The Helong 610 Office set up a brainwashing center in Yadong in late August 2014. The Bajiazi Police Station officer arrested Mr. Liu Jun and took him to the brainwashing center. Other practitioners are also being held in the center.

12. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Ms. Wang Fengying, Ms. Li Xiuxia, Ms. Fan Yujuan, and Ms. Gao Yumei from Lingyuan City in Liaoning Province were arrested by Yushulinzi Police Station officers for talking about Falun Gong in Yushulinzi Town, Pingquan County. They are being held in the Pingquan Detention Center.

13. [Haining City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yan Huiling Detained
Ms. Yan Huiling was arrested on August 28, 2014, for refusing to attend a brainwashing session. She was sentenced in 2011 to three years in prison with four years probation for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was ordered to attend a "remedial study," which is, in fact, a brainwashing session.
She is being held in the Haining Detention Center.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yao Yulan Transferred to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yao Yulan from Ronghua Street in the Qiaokou District was arrested at home by seven to eight officers from the Qiaokou Police Department No.1 Division on August 18, 2014. She was taken to a detention center for 15 days. The day before her term expired on September 1, 2014, the Community Committee notified the family that Ms. Yao had been transferred to a brainwashing center.
15. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Yujuan and Ms. Zhang Xiufen Detained
Ms. Liu Yujuan and Ms. Zhang Xiufen from the Chaoyang District were arrested by officers from the Xicheng District on July 22, 2014. Ms. Liu was transferred to the Beijing No.1 Detention Center on August 21, 2014. Ms. Zhang was taken to a brainwashing center by the Community Committee agents.
Informational materials about Falun Gong and over 1,000 yuan with messages about Falun Gong written on them were confiscated when Ms. Liu was arrested.
16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lou Xiaowei Arrested
Mr. Lou Xiaowei, about 60, was arrested by agents from Licang District in mid-August for using currency with messages about Falun Gong written on them to buy vegetables in a market.
17. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Aixian Arrested on September 3, 2014
18. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Shusheng Arrested
Mr. Wang Shusheng was arrested by the local Domestic Security Division agents on September 4, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong over phone.

19. [Tianjin] Ms. Ran Detained
Ms. Ran, 67 or 68 years old, was arrested at her home near Yanghuo Market in Tanggu by four to five officers from the Xiangyang Police Station on the afternoon of September 3, 2014. They confiscated her computer, printer, and other items. Ms. Ran is being held in the Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu.
20. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Min Taken Away from Brainwashing Center; Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Tang Min was taken away from the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center by the State Security Bureau agents on September 2, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.
