(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yurong, 53, and her family were sleeping when four police officers from the 610 Office broke into their home and arrested and handcuffed her at about 6:00 a.m. on September 15, 2014. This was the second time that Ms. Wang has been arrested.
The officers said that they were from the police department but didn't show their badges. They confiscated personal belongings, including their television. They photographed and videotaped Ms. Wang.
Ms. Wang is from a village in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province.
History of Persecution
Ms. Wang and Ms. Zeng Yumei, a retired senior prosecutor, were arrested on September 25, 2011, while they were taking down signs that defamed Falun Gong. They were first held at the Taoshu Detention Center for 15 days and then transferred without informing their families to an unknown location. Her family was very worried about her condition and whereabouts.
Ms. Wang's family overheard a conversation while they were buying vegetables at the Wuquan Morning Market: “Two women were taking down signs on the evening of the 25th.They were arrested and taken to the Wuquan Police Station.”
Three of her family members went to the Wuquan Police Station and demanded that Ms. Wang be released. They were told that she had been transferred to the Domestic Security Division at the Chengguan District Police Department.
Ms. Wang's family went to the Chengguan District Police Department and again demanded that she be released. The officer in charge threatened them: “How do you know that she is here? You must have known what she did. You had better cooperate with us, otherwise it will be your responsibility if anything happens.” The officer didn't believe anything that the family members said.
Ms. Wang's home was searched while she was detained. The police didn't find anything they were looking for.
Ms. Wang was previously detained at the Heping Women's Brainwashing Center in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, for one year. She wasn't allowed to have any visitors until December 6, 2011. Anything that her family mailed her, including clothing, personal items, and money, was carefully searched.
Ms. Wang was very steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong, The guards said, “Neither a sword nor spear could move her.”
