(Minghui.org) A stranger handed me his mobile phone for me to talk to a Chinese lady in Shanghai at Millennium Square near the central library in Leeds, England. I spoke to her and helped her quit the Chinese communist organizations.
It was quite amazing how that Westerner connected the Shanghai woman and me and how his mobile phone served as the conduit for her to make such an important decision.
This interesting encounter happened on September 16, 2014. I was raising awareness of the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting in China on the square when I noticed a gentleman speaking on his mobile phone nearby. I didn't want to interfere with his conversation, so I kept a distance from him.
He noticed what I was doing. Then he said to me with a big smile, “Chinese, Chinese.” He handed me his phone and signaled for me to talk.
I took his phone and said in Chinese, “Hello!” “Hello,” came the response. “Where are you?” I asked. “Shanghai,” she told me. “That's interesting. I am in the U.K. The gentleman just speaking to you handed me his phone for us to chat. He has a big smile on his face.” The lady on the phone laughed.
We said a few words, and then I thought that, since I was having such an interesting encounter with this lady, I should take this opportunity to help her to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
As a Falun Gong practitioner, I understand that the CCP has committed so many crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong and that it will meet with its karmic retribution. For those Chinese who are still members of its organizations, we encourage them to quit the CCP so they won't be judged guilty by association.
“Did you join the Young Pioneers when you were in elementary school?” I asked her.
“Yes, that was 20 or 30 years ago.” “How about the Communist Youth League?” “Yes. But I didn't join the Communist Party.”
“I am in my 60s, older than you," I told her. "I have already quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. My relatives and friends also quit. In China, over 170 million people have renounced their memberships. They did it over the Internet.
“Do you know why people are quitting the CCP? [Former head of the CCP] Jiang Zemin used the CCP system to persecute Falun Gong practitioners who live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The Party also sanctions forced harvesting of living practitioners' organs for profits.
“Jiang and the CCP are guilty of many more crimes. You Shanghainese are well aware of that, since he is based in Shanghai. Their crimes will lead to the disintegration of the CCP. You should quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers organizations for your own good.
“You can use a pseudonym to make the announcement online. I don't know your name, so how about I just call you 'Meili' (Beautiful) and help you make the announcement?” “Sure," she agreed. "And thank you!"
I gave the phone back to the gentleman, and he continued talking with her.
This was truly an amazing phone call. A gentleman in the U.K. was on an international call with a Chinese lady in Shanghai. In the middle of their conversation, I, a stranger to both of them, helped the lady quit the Communist organizations. Such an extraordinary arrangement!
