(Minghui.org) More and more Chinese people are exhibiting the courage to use their real names when publicly quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its associated organizations.
The movement of quitting the party has inspired more than 170 million Chinese people to abandon communism since 2004. In the past, many people inside China used pseudonyms to quit, fearful of retaliation from the CCP.
Recently, volunteers at the Global Service Center for Quitting the Party have seen an encouraging trend. Many people have made international phone calls from China to the service center, asking to publish their announcements to quit the CCP with their real names.
“This is a sign of people's courage,” a volunteer at the center said, “It does indeed require tremendous courage to do so, especially for those who live in China.”
“Many of them are government officials. They learned about this movement on business trips or while on vacations overseas. They then called us, asking for help to quit the party.”
“We have volunteers at tourist spots all over the world, and as such, Chinese tourists have plenty of chances to get materials from us.”
“Before, many people were willing to quit the party, but with pseudonyms. Recently the situation has changed.”
“A gentleman from Beijing told me on the phone a few days ago that he had gotten a booklet from our volunteers at an overseas tourist spot. He read it in the hotel, and was shocked by the facts revealed in the booklet.”
“He never knew that the CCP had spewed so many shameless lies attacking Falun Gong, nor was he aware of the extent of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, especially the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.”
“'This is evil,' he said on the phone. He told me that he lives on a military base in Beijing. He gave me his Chinese ID number, address and name, asking me to publish his announcement for quitting the CCP.”
Another volunteer shared similar experiences.
“I got three phone calls last week from China. On each call, 5-7 people asked me for help to quit the party. None of them had heard about quitting the party until they ran into our volunteers at oversea tourist spots.”
“Upon learning about the evil nature of the CCP, they cannot wait to quit it. One of them said to me that he and his friends had to make this phone call before going to dinner. 'The food will taste better, now that we have quit,' he told me.”
“I asked them if they wanted to use pseudonyms. They all said no without hesitation.”
As more people show their courage, it is spurring on others to do the same.
“I believe that this beneficial cycle will accelerate the party's fall, and bring a bright future to China,” one of the volunteers said.
