Measure Oneself with High Standards, But Not Others

Jan. 12, 2015 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) As Falun Dafa practitioners, we have the ability to view people and situations from higher realms of thought. However, after reading many sharing articles on the Minghui website, one recurring concern stands out to me: Some practitioners apply their own high standards to others.

Practitioners seek a higher xinxing level than non-practitioners. When encountering conflicts or when treated badly, some practitioners react emotionally, and some even fight back. My understanding is that those practitioners are measuring others with high-level standards, at least at those times.

We are practitioners now and should look inward. We should especially not expect non-practitioners to measure up to high-level Fa principles.

We cultivate ourselves and hold ourselves to high standards. However, when we judge others with high standards, how can we show them our compassion and tolerance? This is not genuine compassion.

My level is limited. Please correct me if I am wrong.
