Following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance As a Teacher

(Minghui.org) I am a physics teacher. On the first day of class, instead of teaching the new students some basics about physics, I taught them that the most important thing in learning physics well is to learn how to think.

I showed the students a series of pictures. The first picture was of a man 1.75 meters (5' 9”) in height, who was running. The second picture showed the same running man but zoomed out 10 times; thus, the man became much smaller, and the running track was visible in the picture. The third picture zoomed out another 10 times; the man became a small dot, and the whole sports field appeared in the picture.

The fourth picture zoomed out another 10 times, a total of 1,000 times zoomed out. The sports field became much smaller; the running man could not be seen, and the whole city was visible in the picture. The fifth picture was zoomed out tenfold. The city became small; the sports field became invisible, and one could see China’s boarders in the picture. Subsequent pictures zoomed out more. Gradually, the earth became a dot, the solar system became a dot, and the galaxy became a dot.

Unfathomable Universe

I asked the students, "How many galaxies are there in the universe?” The students answered that there were many more, so I asked how big they thought the universe is.

"Compared to the universe, human beings are very tiny, I said. “Is the phrase, ‘Man will conquer nature correct?" They shouted, "No!" I tried to keep expanding their thinking: “The universe is so vast, and the universe that we have knowledge of is only a scratch of the universe.

“Could there be life in the universe that views us as bacteria, views our solar system as bacteria, and views our galaxy as bacteria? It is very possible. But we cannot see them because they are too huge. In China we have a legend that Pangu created heaven and earth. Even the great physicist Isaac Newton once said that there is no way for us to explore why the almighty god created the universe.”

In my truth clarification, I did not blindly pursue quantity. Instead, I paid a lot of attention to quality, and I explained the truth thoroughly to the students. Many not only withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, but they also helped persuade their family members to withdraw. Some of them even became young Dafa practitioners. They either read Zhuan Falun along with me or listened to Master’s Guangzhou Lecture or “Pudu” Dafa music in their MP3 player.

There were 66 students in my class. More than 40 of them withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The rest also understood the truth. The following are some examples.

Instilling Belief

My class monitor was a very thoughtful student with his own opinions. Early on, I asked him if he believed in predestined relationships, and he answered that he was an atheist and did not believe in that stuff. I did not argue with him. I only sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the communist evil spirits behind him.

A few days later, when he was walking with me, I told him some stories of reincarnation. He said that I was like his grandmother who was always telling him stories about gods and ghosts, and he told me his grandma was a vegetarian. I was not expecting this, and I wondered if his grandmother was also a Dafa practitioner. Later I learned that his grandma believes in Buddhism and had healed some patients.

His whole family was very kind, and I found a starting point to clarify the truth to him. On one holiday, I invited him to my home. I said, "The class monitor and the teacher should maintain good communication; otherwise, the class may not be managed well. Let’s have an open talk.”

I told him that my physical health before was not good. I told him how I had measles while I was in high school, and I developed pneumonia from it–I often felt dizzy. I also told him that I had gone to many hospitals and practiced many types of qigong, but achieved no cure. Then later, my fellow classmates advised me to practice Falun Gong. I told him, “I did not initially believe them because I thought, 'Well, I am a natural science teacher.' Like you I was a typical atheist.”

I continued: “However, later on I met a person who was 20 years older than I was. We felt a good connection and became close friends. She told me that she had seen a dragon and met people with supernormal capabilities. I believed whatever she told me. She said that she believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and she demanded herself to be a good person. She also told me that her physical condition improved significantly through the practice.”

“To benefit my own physical condition, I started reading Zhuan Falun, and my physical condition gradually improved,” I said. “Besides, I also came to understand many problems in life, which I never understood before. Then I started cultivation. Later, when I was persecuted by the 610 Office and the school management, many students’ parents gave me strong support and help. The police at the Domestic Security Division later told me with admiration, 'You must have conducted yourself righteously. This is the kind of situation most people want to avoid. However, many students’ parents came forward to speak for you even though you don’t know them.'”

I also explained to him why good people were persecuted and showed him the video “What Kind of Person Is Jiang Zemin?” I also played the video "The Days with Master" to him so that he could understand that Master is righteous.

That day we chatted all evening, and both of us felt that we were on the same wave length. He came to understand the truth, and later I asked him to watch “Looking through China” with me. After he watched the program he said, “I can understand that Falun Gong teaches people to be good, but I cannot understand why you are involved in politics and oppose the CCP. Let’s not talk about this topic anymore, Ok?”

I knew that he was afraid, and I understood him. I then casually talked about the evil nature and corruption of the CCP, but he did not pay attention.

More Chances

Later, when we chatted again, he complained to me about some things: He said his grandmother had started cursing. His dad was running a business driving a vehicle, and was unreasonably fined many times. Their village had recently paved the streets; however, since the officers all lived on the east side of the village, the streets there were paved with asphalt and they were very smooth. The common villagers, as well as his family, lived on the west side, so the streets on that side of the village were full of rocks and were very rough. Still, the village officials refused to pave those roads.

I told him that the Communist Party officials simply do not have consideration for people; they only do things for their own interests, and the people always suffer the loss. I told him that during the Wenchuan earthquake, the government concealed the truth and lied about the death toll., and that these days there are many natural disasters, but the officials do not care about the wellbeing of others. I added that people can only protect themselves by withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He did not argue with me.

For his birthday I took him out to lunch. During lunch, I tried to persuade him to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He asked me how he should talk to the school to withdraw; he did not know that he could withdraw using a nickname. I came to realize that the reason he was afraid was because I did not explain things to him clearly. I then chose the nickname “Dong Wang” (king of the east) for him, and he happily withdrew.

Later, when he went home for the New Year I asked him to help his family members quit. When he came back to school, he brought the names of his family members.

Conquering Tribulations

Sometime later he was seriously ill. So I read Zhuan Falun with him every day, and I recommended that he complete reading the book. He soon took 10 days off school to rest before he returned to class. In the second month after he returned to class, the school held a practice exam, and he again achieved good grades. On his college entrance exam, he also achieved good scores and was admitted to prestigious universities. His family was very happy.

His father also completed reading Zhuan Falun during this time, and his family asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun to keep at home. I hope his whole family can benefit from cultivation.

Another Fortunate Student

Another example is that of a female student. Her school grades were good at the beginning; however, after she entered her third year (the graduating year) of high school, she began to fall ill.

After her grandmother passed away, she missed her so much that she became depressed. When the illness worsened, she could not catch her breath. Later, she became very timid and was afraid of the dark. Her mother told me that she was possessed by something. I gave her an amulet and asked her to often recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" and asked her to watch Shen Yun DVDs. However, doing these things did not produce any noticeable effects.

Later, my husband (a practitioner) and I decided to visit her family. We bought some gifts and went to her home. That evening, we explained the truth about the persecution to her and her mother and advised them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, which they all did. I also asked her family to recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" and to believe that good will be rewarded.

Her family was very kind. Later, she achieved good scores on the college entrance exam and was admitted to one of the major universities. Her family was very happy and offered me gifts. I invited them to dinner and told them that they should thank Master.

High Achievement of My Students

At the end of the second year of high school, all the students in my class got a copy of software to break through the Internet blockade. Many of them and their families accessed the websites. By the end of their third year of high school (the graduating year), I wanted to give each of my students a copy of Shen Yun DVDs. While I was wondering how to give them the DVDs, the school gave each of the students a hand bag, so I slipped the DVDs into the bags for the students.

I told the students to watch the DVDs during their vacation, and that the benevolent information in the performances would make a big difference on their college entrance exams.

When the exam results came out, I could not believe it. Many students in my class achieved very high results and were admitted to major universities. My class was named the star class of the school, and I was awarded many honorary titles as well as with the best bonus in the school. I knew this was a manifestation of Dafa’s wonder and encouragement from Master.

In the future I will live up to Master’s merciful salvation and continue to do the three things well at work, do my best to awaken more people, and go home following Master.
