(Minghui.org) The Fuyu District Court in Qiqihar City in Heilongjiang Province sentenced three Falun Gong practitioners to prison on September 28, 2015. They were Ms. Wang Aimin (sentenced to 5 years), Ms. Jing Guixiang (3.5 years), and Ms. Kuang Weihua (3 years, suspended for 4 years).

Since the Chinese communist regime launched its violent suppression of Falun Gong in 1999, practitioners have faced arbitrary arrest, imprisonment, and even torture, simply for refusing to renounce their beliefs at the demands of authorities.

The three practitioners were first tried on September 18. No other practitioners were allowed to attend the trial. Only two of the defendants' family members were allowed to attend, while the other seats were filled by community and neighborhood association leaders.

The practitioners' lawyers pleaded not guilty on behalf of their clients.

The court has not rendered a verdict. However, it cooperated with agents from the Fuyu County 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and Domestic Security police and tried the practitioners during a secret session.

The practitioners were arrested on November 13, 2014.
