(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Meng Xianrong, 76, from Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province, was illegally arrested on July 16, 2015.
Captain Guo Xudong (郭旭东) led a handful of officers from the Suileng County Domestic Security Division and Zhenbei Police Station in the arrest.
The police officers refused to identify themselves during Ms. Meng’s arrest, and tried to drag her downstairs. Since she did not cooperate, her arms and feet were tied up with rope. After losing all feeling in her legs, she is no longer able to take care of herself.
The police also ransacked her home and confiscated everything, including over 80,000 yuan in cash.
Ms. Meng was taken to Zhenbei Police Station and detained in the basement overnight. She is currently being detained at the Suileng County Bureau of Forestry.
Guo Xudong later reported fabricated charges to the Procuratorate.
Ten other practitioners were also arrested on July 16, 2015. Five were released before August 24, and the Suileng County Procuratorate approved the arrests of four, including Ms. Meng, on August 28.
Persecutors
Yang Dongqi (杨东奇), secretary of Heilongjiang Province Political and Legal Affairs Committee, planned the arrests.
Officers involved in the arrests (along with Guo Xudong) included Yang Bo (杨波), deputy director of Heilongjiang Province Public Security Ministry Domestic Security Division, Zhang Chenggui (张成贵), Party secretary of Suileng County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and Chu Tao (褚涛), captain of the Qingan County Domestic Security Division.
