More Practitioners Harassed for Suing Former Dictator Jiang Zemin

Oct. 30, 2015

(Minghui.org) Since August, nine Falun Gong practitioners from Taian City, Shandong Province, have been forced to sign documents and had their homes ransacked for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

Agents from the Daiyue Domestic Security Division, local police stations, and local village committees harassed Ms. Zhang Chunxin, Ms. Liu Xinglan, Ms. Liu Chunxiao, Ms. Li Xiaohuan, Ms. Wang Xiaorong, Ms. Fu Yanli, Mr. Zhang Yizheng, Mr. Hou Cunshang, and Mr. Li.

They confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of Mr. Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Gong), MP3 players, and informational materials about Falun Gong.

They also questioned practitioners as to who assisted in processing and filing the complaints. They demanded to know who provided them with informational materials about Falun Gong and threatened to arrest them if they continued to practice Falun Gong.

Police Listen to Practitioner's Story

When asked when she started practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Liu Chunxiao said that she used to be handicapped because of bone necrosis, which results from poor blood supply to areas of the bone, causing localized bone death, inflammatory arthritis, and other illnesses.

Ms. Liu came across Falun Gong in 2009 and realized that it was an advanced cultivation practice in the Buddha school that asks its practitioners to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Ms. Liu told the police that it was her civil right to sue Jiang, and that the police were violating existing Chinese law by harassing her.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Communist regime established an extralegal security organization, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
