(Minghui.org) Tourists visiting the famous Brandenburg Gate in Berlin may come across Falun Gong practitioners and their information booth, which has been held at Pariser Platz every Saturday for the past two years.

The practitioners provide fliers in more than 10 languages, including English, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Denmark and Chinese.
Many tourists had never heard of Falun Gong and listened attentively as practitioners explained how the ancient practice became so popular in China in the mid-1990's that the communist regime “cracked down” on the movement when the number of practitioners outnumbered that of the Communist Party.
Many who stopped to view the displays or get information signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
A practitioner from Russia met a couple and their son. He told them about Falun Gong in a few simple sentences. However, when they asked why Falun Gong is persecuted in China, he could not explain due to his limited English. He took out the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in English and invited the son to read one paragraph in Chapter 5 “On the Collusion of Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party to Persecute Falun Gong.” The family then understood.

The practitioners often have in-depth conversations with Chinese tourists who hold various misconceptions generated by the state-run media's propaganda in China. As a result, many Chinese tourists choose to take a stance against the persecution by renouncing their memberships in the CCP or its affiliates.
