Police Are Among the Victims in the Persecution of Falun Gong

Oct. 9, 2015 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) A practitioner who had just mailed her criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist regime, to China’s Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate went to visit her daughter and new baby. The daughter and her family live in another province.

The practitioner's husband, who does not practice Falun Gong, stayed home.

Mr. Li, the practitioner's husband, heard a knock at the door in early August. Two strangers came in and asked to see his wife. Mr. Li told them that he did not know her whereabouts. One of the men said that he did not believe that a husband did not know the whereabouts of his wife. Mr. Li responded that he respects her privacy and does not ask her when she goes out and what she is up to.

They told him that she wrote a letter that accused Jiang of being a criminal. “Yes, I know this,” Mr. Li responded. “The lawsuit is long overdue. Jiang is the most corrupt man in the world, and he has messed up China beyond anyone's wildest imagination. Why can’t people sue him? I think you should also sue him.”

The two men asked why they should sue Jiang.

“You are also victims of the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang told you to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, and even to lie,” Mr. Li said. “If you followed his orders, you have committed crimes against humanity. Thus, you will be punished and receive retribution.”

The men looked scared and had nothing to say. Mr. Li said that he had forgotten to ask for their identification. They told him that they were police officers from the local national security division.

After the two men showed him their IDs, Mr. Li said: “It looks like you are here to arrest my wife. But she is not home. You can take me in since I support her lawsuit. At my age, I am afraid of nothing.”

“No, how could we arrest you?” one of the men asked. “You are so kind, and you think we are also victims. No one's said that to us before. We are just doing our job. There is no problem.”

The pair left quietly. Since that day, no one has come to harass this family.
