The momentum of this new wave of lawsuits against the former Chinese dictator is on the rise.

The Minghui website receives copies of criminal complaints against Jiang from many practitioners daily. In this report, we present a snapshot of some of the practitioners whose copies of lawsuits were received by Minghui on November 1.

These lawsuits are mailed to the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate, which are required to process all criminal complaints filed by citizens, as of a recent ruling by the Supreme People's Court.

Brief Recap of the Three Lawsuits Detailed Below

The three plaintiffs, including a judge, were arrested and detained in prisons, labor camps, detention centers and brainwashing centers. Torture methods used on them include forcibly stretching the four limbs, water boarding, strait-jackets, beatings, electric shock, force feeding, and more.

The judge's wife could no longer endure the stress and divorced him. The families of all three were harassed because of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) guilt by association policy.

Mr. Liang was sentenced to forced labor in 2006 and subjected to the stretch torture twice for practicing Falun Gong. Because of the torture, his joints hurt for years. He was sentenced to three years in prison in 2010 and tortured in two facilities. The persecution placed his family under great duress. His wife divorced him. While he was imprisoned, his father died in early 2007 and his mother soon followed after that. The camp authorities kept that information from him.

Mr. Liang was arrested, beaten and detained twice by police for peacefully protesting the persecution of Falun Gong in Beijing in 1999.

The guards then moved the two frames away from each other to stretch his legs and arms apart. This put unbearable strain on his limbs. At the same time he was deprived of sleep. This lasted 15 days the first time, and 29 days the second time. Mr. Liang almost lost his life.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
