Police Who Investigate Lawsuits Against Jiang Zemin Need to Know the Truth about Falun Gong

Nov. 27, 2015 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Sichuan Province, China

(Minghui.org) A police officer from my hometown called me on the morning of November 5, 2015. He wanted to travel to where I was and talk to me. I told him that I was an older lady, had not done anything wrong, and he could talk to me on the phone, but he insisted. I then realized that he probably called me because I had filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, who initiated the persecution of Falun Dafa. So, I told him that he could come.

When I returned home from our local Falun Dafa study in the afternoon, I saw three plainclothes police officers at the entrance to my apartment building. I knew one of them. They smiled at me and said, “Dear Madam, you are back.” I responded that they could come in and sit down. I asked what I could do for them.

Zhang (alias) told me that they just wanted to verify information about a case. They said they would not stay long, and thus didn’t need to sit down.

I first asked for their police identification cards. Wang (alias)] showed his ID, and I wrote down his name and ID number. I then asked Zhang for his card. He hesitated, but I insisted, and I recorded his information.

Both asked me to not report their identities on the Minghui website. I told them that it depended on what their intentions were. Zhang then showed me the complaint letter I had filed against Jiang with the Supreme People's Procuratorate—it was the original copy.

The third police officer was taking notes. Zhang asked me several questions, which I did not answer. Before leaving, he asked me to sign the document, but I refused. I said, “Since you were not sent here by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, you're unable to solve my problem, so I won't sign.”

They tried to convince me and said, “You are a good person who does good things. Why don’t you sign it so that we can complete our assignment. Otherwise, we will be in trouble.”

I then asked for the name of the person who sent them to my home, as I wanted to talk to him. They were speechless. Finally they said, “We are so sorry to bother you. We hope that you will visit your hometown in the near future.” They left without my signature.

After sending righteous thoughts that night, I thought about the officers’ visit. I realized that their invitation to visit our hometown was a hint that I should go back and tell them about Falun Gong and the persecution.

I arrived at the local police station and found Zhang. I clarified the truthto him and asked him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I told him that I was there to help him escape the horrible fate that awaited those who were aligned with the CCP. I helped him quit the Party and renounce his membership in the Party's Young Pioneers organization. He thanked me and reminded me to be mindful of my safety.

I will return once more and talk to Wang. I believe this to be my responsibility.
