Paris: Tourists Support Lawsuits Against Former Chinese Dictator

Nov. 9, 2015 |   By Minghui correspondent Zhou Wenying in Paris

(Minghui.org) Tourists visiting the Eiffel Tower on November 1, 2015 were drawn by the peaceful Falun Gong exercises demonstration and informative display boards set up on the Square of Freedom and Human Rights.

It was the first time for many visitors to hear about Falun Gong and the persecution of this ancient spiritual belief in China. They were shocked to learn that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to torture and have even had their organs harvested while they were still alive, only because they uphold their right to conduct themselves according to Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Many people signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners' effort to raise awareness of the brutal persecution and hoped that the main perpetrator, former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin be brought to justice soon.

Tourists sign petition to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's forced organ harvesting crimes in China.

Mr. Deschamps and his wife took a walk on the Square of Freedom and Human Rights, and signed the petition calling for an end to the forced organ harvesting and for bringing the main perpetrators to justice.

“Live organ harvesting is horrible,” said Mr. Deschamps.

“It's so covert, and it's terrible,” his wife echoed. “This should be known to the world, and everyone should learn about it,” she added. “I hope that the truth will be revealed through the trial of Jiang Zemin.”

“No matter what, live organ harvesting is unacceptable,” said another visitor, Stéphanie Aral.

A retired French couple said that they were completely shocked after learning about the forced organ harvesting crimes. “It's really unimaginable that such a thing takes place today, in 2015,” one of them said. “It's a crime against humanity.”

Mr. Parthélemy, a teacher, signed the petition and remarked, “If someone suffers pain somewhere [in the world], it means that the entire humanity suffers the pain. We are interconnected. Humans should respect one another.”

Several tourists from China learned about the persecution of Falun Gong, information that they cannot access back in China. They followed Falun Gong practitioners' advice and renounced their membership in the Party and its affiliated organizations.
