(Minghui.org) After reading Master's new article “Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference,” I feel more than ever that time is truly pressing. Compared with the lectures Master has given before, this time Master's tone is more serious.
Master said:
“After the conference, tell those who haven’t been diligent, when the opportunity arises, 'You are running out of time. What are you going to do … Given how time is so extremely pressing, have you thought about what’s going to become of those who haven’t cultivated well? Some people still have a chance, but some no longer do. For some there is still time left, and for some their only hope is to sprint.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
The Minghui website recently published many articles that address the attachment to the end of the Fa-rectification. If we calmly think about it, we will realize that Falun Dafa disciples do not have the right to be attached to the end of the Fa-rectification.
Every day that we have in the human world was arranged by Master, who extends this valuable period by enduring so much. The old forces planned that human beings would not survive the disasters of 1999. However, we survived. Many sentient beings, who were about to be destroyed, are alive, yet still accumulating karma due to their ignorance. To save the sentient beings and the universe, Master endures the enormous karma for us.
Every disciple should think carefully as to what we are doing during this time that has been extended by Master. We have cultivated for so long, but have we let go of all the loopholes? Have we fulfilled our vow? Where would we be now, if Master had not extended this period and had ended the Fa-rectification 10 years ago?
Nowadays, even non-practitioners feel that time is flying. Everyone complains that not much can get done before a day is over. As a practitioner, we should think about what we do every day, and how we arrange the 24 hours. The missed time cannot be bought with money or any other means, and every moment is precious.
For example, my everyday job takes 12 hours of my day, including the time spent on commuting. But if I sleep for 6 hours, I still have 6 free hours. I try my best to spend all these 6 hours on cultivation. I used to spend 30 minutes a day on surfing the Internet, but now I feel that it is a big waste of time. Would it not be better if I spent this 30 minutes on reading the Fa? When I am too busy to read the Fa on any given day, I always make it up the next day.
Our cultivation, xinxing improvement, and saving people actually have nothing to do with whether we are busy or not. Master has told us that if we put our hearts into cultivation at every moment, and regulate our behavior based on the Fa, then we can cultivate well no matter how busy we are. This would make us very efficient. So, no matter how busy we are, we should spend the limited time on cultivation and saving people.
At the Dharma-ending period, a period about 500 years after Buddha Sakyamuni passed away, during which his Dharma could no longer save people, many things in the society can distract us from cultivation. Master said,
“When your vision makes contact with something, that thing has entered. That’s because any thing can replicate itself in other dimensions, so the longer you look at something, the more it enters. No matter what it is, be it on television or on a computer, it enters once you look at it. As more of these bad things are loaded up in your brain and body, they end up dominating your actions. Your speech, your mode of thinking, your perspective on things—all of it will be affected. ” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference”)
We should be more serious about cultivation at the end of the Fa-rectification. Any slacking off, even minor, will drag us back to everyday society. We should carefully think about what we do every day and ask ourselves whether we spend all our free time on validating the Fa. We should also remind ourselves all the time that this final period of the Fa-rectification is very precious. We must ensure that we will not regret our present actions in the future. Starting from this moment, let's stride forward diligently in cultivation, and walk well the path of validating the Fa.
I would like to share Master's words before I end this sharing article,
“All of the “three things” that I speak of are important. I hope that you will do even better on the last leg of your journey. Those of you who have done well must not let up. You mustn’t.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
