(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Chunlian and Ms. Cao Xiaomin Arrested
Ms. Zhao Chunlian from Jugezhuang Town, Miyun County was arrested and taken to Jugezhuang Police Station on January 8, 2015 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was terrified in the station; she consequently lost consciousness and was foaming at the mouth. She was brought to the County Hospital and was released to go home that day.
Ms. Cao Xiaomin from Mujiayu Town, Miyun County was also arrested on the same day.
2. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xu Jinyou Detained
Mr. Xu Jinyou, 49, was arrested in Shixian Town on January 15, 2015. He is being held in a detention center.
3. [Yulin City, Guangxi Province] Mr. Yang Wei and His Wife Arrested
After 7 years in prison, Mr. Yang Wei from Yuzhou District, was arrested again on January 16, 2015, along with his wife.
4. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiao Shanyun Arrested
Officers from Licheng District in Jinan City and from Bucun Police Station in Zhangqiu City arrested Ms. Xiao Shanyun from Bucun Coal Mine in Zhangqiu City on January 28, 2015. They seized her computers, printers, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Xiao was taken to the Bucun Police Station and interrogated. She has been released.

Ms. Li Yuhuan from Zhangdian District was arrested at home by officers from the Zhangdian Domestic Security Division on January 29, 2015. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Yongxiao and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Ma Yongxiao and his wife, Ms. Du Likun, were arrested by officers from Liushigang Police Station on January 28, 2015 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Liushigang. They were taken to the Shahe Police Department Domestic Security Division. The couple was released after 10,000 yuan was extorted from Mr. Ma's parents.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pang Shuyue Sentenced to Four Years and Six Months
Ms. Pang Shuyue was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months. She was transferred from the Qinhuangdao No.1 Detention Center to the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison on January 4, 2015.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Liping Passed Away the Day After Arrest
Ms. Fan Liping previously worked at Air Passenger Terminal Complex of the Civil Aviation Heilongjiang Management Bureau. She and her husband, Mr. Zhang Ge, were arrested by officers from Luyuan Police Department on October 15, 2014. Ms. Fan was tortured to death the next day. Her body is being held at Longfeng Funeral House. Mr. Zhang is being held in Changchun No.2 Detention Center.

9. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Pei Zhiren Arrested
Ms. Pei Zhiren was arrested at home by Li Zhong and other officers from Yidu Domestic Security Division and Gaobazhou Police Station on January 28, 2015. Her Falun Gong books, DVDs, and informational materials about Falun Gong were confiscated. Ms. Pei was taken to the Gaobazhou Police Station. She is now released.
10. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Wenhua Detained
Ms. Li Wenhua, 47, was arrested by officers from Pingan Police Station on January 10, 2015. She was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in residential quarters in Longquanyi District. After being held for 15 days, she was transferred to Longquanqi Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Xueli was arrested on January 26, 2015. Her home was ransacked.
12. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Dai Zuolan Arrested
Ms. Dai Zuolan from Qianlianghu Town in Junshan District was arrested for posting informational stickers about Falun Gong on January 22, 2015. Ms. Dai was arrested by Yan Dingji, security director of the Chaoyang Residential Committee; Li Xudong, director of the Law Enforcement Unit; and Peng Changhua, director of the Junshan Political and Legal Affairs Committee 610 Office. She was taken to the Hubin Detention Center and was released 5 days later.

She was taken to Yuantan Police Station and held there for 12 hours. She was released the next day.
