(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yue was arrested by officers from the Baililu Police Station in Putuo District, Shanghai on December 3, 2009.
She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and tortured at the Shanghai Women's Prison and the Shanghai Juvenile Delinquency Center. She was released on June 2, 2013.
She was arrested again by officers from the Zhenguanglu Police Station in Putuo on May 18, 2014. She was held for 30 days.
Torture at Shanghai Women's Prison
Ms. Wang was taken to the Fourth Division of the Shanghai Women's Prison on July 5, 2010. She refused to report her name or cooperate with having a physical examination. The guards then cuffed her hands behind her back and dragged her into a confinement room on the fifth floor. Three prisoners took turns watching her around the clock and did not allow her to practice the exercises, study the Fa, or talk to others.
Ms. Wang was held at the prison for 18 months, and the guards employed all kinds of tactics to torture her. In order to force her to give up her belief in Falun Dafa, guards tortured her with “confining clothes” and beat her with electric batons. Other torture tactics included deprivation of sleep, of liquids, bathroom use, and showers.
In order to protect their two children, Ms. Wang's husband was forced to divorce her. During this time, Ms. Wang's hair quickly turned grey.
The collaborators woke Ms. Wang up at 5 a.m. every day. She had to do so-called “self-reflection” right away, and then recite the prison rules and do the prison exercises. If she refused, she would be forced to do long-term standing.
She was also forced to watch programs that defame Falun Dafa and praise the Chinese Communist Party. She was ordered to write reports about the programs, and she would be forced to stand until midnight if she refused.
Once when Ms. Wang did not finish her report, the guards would not let her sleep the entire night. She was also tortured with “confining clothes” for seven days. During the day, she was not allowed down until 9:30 p.m, and she had to go up again at 5:30 the next morning.
Team leader Zhang Yanyan told Ms. Wang she would no longer suffer if she just agreed to give up her belief.
Three month later, the guards repeated that same torture again in their attempt to force Ms. Wang to give up her cultivation. In addition to the “confining clothes,” the guards gagged her.
Ms. Wang had no freedom in the prison. Collaborators reported her every action and word to the team leader. The team leader would then come up with tactics to torture her and order the collaborators to implement the tortures. Ms. Wang was often cursed and beaten because she did not cooperate.
Prisoner Tang Zhenghui was sentenced to 15 years in prison for selling drugs. In order to get her prison term reduced, she often made trouble for Ms. Wang and fabricated so-called evidence for the team leader to justify more “punishment.”
Lin Lu, Zhang Zhiqin, and Song Ling called Ms. Wang into the office at 7 p.m. on November 27, 2011, and they shocked her with three electric batons at the same time. In order to increase the pain, they moistened their electric batons with wet towels.

In protest of the persecution, Ms. Wang went on a hunger strike and demanded she meet with the procurator. Afraid of bearing responsibility for her condition, and worried that their torture would be exposed, the authorities transferred her to the Juvenile Delinquency Center on December 1, 2011.

Ms. Wang was detained in a room with four prisoners who took shifts monitoring her. Guards Li Jun, Fan Fang, and Ding Xujiao ordered her to write daily reports, and if she did not finish, they would wake her up every 10 minutes to keep her from sleeping.
When Ms. Wang's blood pressure became high, the guards forced her to take medicine. If she refused, they would force-feed her.
Ms. Wang was taken to the prison hospital twice. She was also forced to receive injections on and off for about one year.
