(Minghui. org) I used to be miserable and unhealthy. I often wondered why I was going through so much suffering. My situation completely changed after I started practicing Falun Gong in 2008. Under merciful Master's blessings, I obtained a new life and became a happy person. I was purified, physically and spiritually.
I then introduced Falun Gong to others, hoping that they would have the same opportunity as I. I also exposed the lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which has been slandering and persecuting Falun Gong for the past 16 years. As a result, most of the people I've talked to have quit the CCP and some have even become Falun Gong practitioners.
Becoming a Falun Gong Practitioner
I became ill not long after I was born. When I was one year old, my mother left me at a mass grave site, thinking that I was dead. My grandmother found me alive that same night and took me to a doctor.
Although my life was saved, I had to rely on an assortment of medication. I had tachycardia, rheumatoid arthritis, cervical disease, intractable constipation, and other ailments. Because my family lived in poverty, we could not sustain the high medical expenses that my condition required. I could only hold on and suffer day after day.
One day in May 2008, a practitioner told me about Falun Gong and the CCP's persecution of the spiritual practice. I had a strong desire, from the bottom of my heart, to know more about Falun Gong. I started reading the book Essentials for Further Advancement. Before I finished it, I felt warmth in my lower abdomen. One week later, the intractable constipation that had plagued me for years disappeared.
I then learned the Falun Gong exercises and borrowed the book Zhuan Falun. I started to copy out the book by hand that same day.
For years, I couldn't sit to read or write because of severe back pain. To my surprise, when I was copying Zhuan Falun, I realized that I'd been sitting in same spot for almost six hours and did not feel any discomfort. I was so excited that my tears fell uncontrollably. I knew that merciful Master had eliminated my sickness karma and given me a new life.
My family witnessed the miraculous healing power of Falun Gong. They were deeply grateful to Master and renounced the CCP. My daughter also became a practitioner.
Older Woman Regains Her Health After Practicing Falun Gong
While clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in a park one day in May 2010, a fellow practitioner and I chatted with an elderly woman. She looked sad and fragile. She had suffered from multiple diseases for forty years. She had unbearable pain throughout her body. She expressed that she intended to end her own life after her husband died.
We shared with her our own experiences of how we regained our health. We told her of the wonder and goodness of practicing Falun Gong. She was skeptical, but agreed to give it a try. We taught her the five exercises.
Within one month, our new friend's insomnia was gone. Her edema disappeared five months later without her taking any medicine. She regained her health in 2011 at the age of 74. She became energetic and compassionate.
This elderly woman said thoughtfully, "Before I started cultivation, I did not realize that I was selfish and materialistic. I did not know how much virtue I'd lost by being that way. If it were not for Falun Gong, I would have been dead by now. My whole family has been blessed by Dafa."
Seeing the changes in their mother, her three children also became Falun Gong practitioners. The whole family renounced the CCP and its two youth organizations.
A Friend's Whole Family Awakened
My friend's family of three generations worked for the government and have been comfortable financially. They were deceived by the CCP’s slanderous propaganda and refused to believe that Falun Gong has been so brutally persecuted.
When my friend's mother suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized, I volunteered to stay at the hospital to take care of her mother at night. The family appreciated my help and gradually listened to the facts about Falun Gong. They were shocked to learn about the CCP's atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The whole family renounced the CCP.
